Story
Poncho is one happy dog! He loves to smile and show off those cute teefs. Poncho was picked up as a puppy in the fall of 2024. His siblings were picked up several weeks before, but he would not come to people until his mom was hit by a car. He absolutely adores people now!! He's so good with kids. Poncho is great with other dogs, takes treats gently, is house trained, and LOVES to be outside! He really loves swimming amd romping in the pond. Poncho may have some border collie in him because he loves to run cows. He will need a fenced-in yard because he will chase cars. Poncho is medium size and at 18 months old as of December 2025, he shouldn't get much bigger. He's fully vetted and ready to hang out with you! Story
🐾💙 Meet Finn — Your Thoughtful Trail Buddy 💙🐾 Finn is a 6-year-old purebred Border Collie with soulful eyes and a heart full of quiet devotion. This handsome boy is looking for a peaceful home where he can truly shine. 🏡 Finn is house trained, kennel trained, and walks beautifully on leash. He’s been working hard on calmly passing other dogs on walks and would be the perfect hiking or walking companion for someone who enjoys a little adventure with a loyal shadow. 🧠 True to his breed, Finn is smart, intuitive, and deeply connected to his people. He thrives in a calm, consistent home and prefers to be the only dog. He’s great with cats and older children but isn’t a match for loud, chaotic households or young kids. 🎯 Loud noises like gunshots startle him, so a quieter, rural, or suburban setting would suit him best. Finn isn’t high maintenance—he just wants a person to bond with and a peaceful space to relax in. If you’ve been searching for a steady, affectionate companion who will reward your patience with unwavering loyalty, Finn may be your perfect match. 💙 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Name: Rebel Age: 11 months Breed: Border Collie mix Size: 45 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Rebel is an 11-month-old Border Collie mix with energy to spare and a personality that’s as big as his zoomies. Rebel was an owner surrender due to his owner being older and not being able to handle him being such an active dog. True to his name, he’s always ready for action—whether that’s chasing a ball, learning a new trick, or turning the yard into his personal playground. Smart and alert, Rebel thrives when his mind and body stay busy. Rebel will do very well with people who understand his breed and can give him ways to exert all of his expendable energy. He is the type of dog that would do well with a job. This bright young pup would love a home that enjoys an active lifestyle and can keep up with his enthusiasm for adventure. Border Collie mixes are known for their intelligence, and Rebel is no exception—he’s eager to learn and ready to impress with the right guidance and positive training. Rebel is still growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be and would shine with a family ready to channel his energy into fun, learning, and plenty of playtime. Reble already knows basic commands and would definitely be able to learn more advanced commands. If you’re looking for a lively sidekick who will keep life exciting, Rebel is ready to lead the charge. 🐾 Rebel's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Rebel please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog).
