Story
Loki is as great as they come. Smart, friendly, affectionate, eager to please, and well mannered. He is great with all kids, dogs, cats, and even ferrets. To us he looks more like a Border Collie, but he was purchased as a puppy, by a family, as an Aussie. We think he is an Aussie/BC mix. Regardless, he is incredibly sweet and so loving. He knows commands and is crate trained and just so affectionate. As typical of his breed, he is athletic and would do best with an experienced home, for he is so smart and again, eager to please. You could not ask for a better dog. Loki is just coming on 2 years old and is a lean about 47 lbs. These photos are not very good, for he was too excited to have such a big yard to sniff around in, but he is so handsome  in person and a must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure.  PREGNANT DOG And ALL BREED RESCUE/LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER puppies are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health. Our Puppies are current on vaccines, wormed, and extremely well cared for from birth - most even know how to use a dog door by the time they leave us!  They are friendly and social and very affectionate!  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! PDR/LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home.  Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile.  We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm and Lyme tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $595 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)  May 4, 2024, 6:56 pm

Story
This happy-go-lucky gal is ready to find her forever home! Cleo is an estimated 2 year old, border collie/shepherd mix who first came to us in the winter of 22-23' as a stray. She was so unsocialized and scared of humans, but spent 6 months with us where we got to see her goofy, playful personality blossom before she was finally adopted. Unfortunately after another 6 months in a home it became evident that though Cleo can make canine friends through proper meet and greets, she just isn't comfortable sharing her space with them so she was returned to the shelter. As sad as we are to have her back, we are so proud to see how much more confidence she has gained and how she's grown.. Cleo is a ball of energy, always ready to run! She enjoys zooming around the yard and playing with her toys. Cleo's previous home had nothing but wonderful things to say about her - they praised her intelligence and obedience, said that she loves her crate, and is fully housebroken. She still takes a moment to warm up to new people, but once she does she is the sweetest girl. We know she's going to make a PERFECT companion for the right person who has patience with her as she transitions into a new home environment, is active, and has the time to dedicate to training her. She can't be placed in a home with cats, and would do best in an adult only home as the only pet.Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If you are interested in adding Cleo to your family- please fill out a pre-approval form on our website: www.nokillarc.org! (found under our ‘adoptable dog' section).
