(All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 10, 2024, 7:32 pm

Story
This happy-go-lucky gal is ready to find her forever home! Cleo is an estimated 2 year old, border collie/shepherd mix who first came to us in the winter of 22-23' as a stray. She was so unsocialized and scared of humans, but spent 6 months with us where we got to see her goofy, playful personality blossom before she was finally adopted. Unfortunately after another 6 months in a home it became evident that though Cleo can make canine friends through proper meet and greets, she just isn't comfortable sharing her space with them so she was returned to the shelter. As sad as we are to have her back, we are so proud to see how much more confidence she has gained and how she's grown.. Cleo is a ball of energy, always ready to run! She enjoys zooming around the yard and playing with her toys. Cleo's previous home had nothing but wonderful things to say about her - they praised her intelligence and obedience, said that she loves her crate, and is fully housebroken. She still takes a moment to warm up to new people, but once she does she is the sweetest girl. We know she's going to make a PERFECT companion for the right person who has patience with her as she transitions into a new home environment, is active, and has the time to dedicate to training her. She can't be placed in a home with cats, and would do best in an adult only home as the only pet.Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If you are interested in adding Cleo to your family- please fill out a pre-approval form on our website: www.nokillarc.org! (found under our ‘adoptable dog' section).

Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.1 1/3 old male Merle AussieDoodleGumbo is a year and a half old male Aussie doodle. He’s been a family pet and an indoor dog. He is a strong dog with an alpha personality.  He was attacked by a dog and now he would probably be best in a home as an only dog. Currently, he’s with a lot of other dogs, however when the dogs come running up to me, he perceives them as a threat and gets defensive. He may be a good personal protection dog. He does run and play in the field with five or 10 other dogs at a time and gets along with them just fine. If some of the dogs get to playing too rough, he intercedes to break them up. Again, he’s very strong, alpha dog. One on one he is super sweet, very affectionate and attention seeking. Extremely obedient with fantastic recall. He loves playing ball and hide and go seek! When he runs in the fields, I’ll go and hide behind trees and the minute he doesn’t see me comes looking. He is a lot of fun. If you’re interested, I can show you a page. I set up for potential adopters to see many videos of him. He is currently up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. This dog is located in Harrison or Arkansas with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue. They are shipped to your location via the rescue network transport. We set up a Facebook page where you can see videos of the dogs.  May 10, 2024, 9:34 am

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 10, 2024, 9:09 am
