Story
Cocoa Ann is a 2-3 yr old 40 lb spayed female. She recently came from confiscation cruelty case. She and several other dogs were cages in abandoned trailer. She came with another female dog from the same case. An easy home would be one with mature people and no dogs. She loves to play with dogs but she is very jealous with any dogs that want to pay attention to her human she bonds with. She loves people and wants to be with them all the time. She is house trained. She does have separation anxiety. When left alone she needs a secure crate. Again I think Cocoa Ann will adjust with time and patience. 3 months is average transition for a normal dog. Cocoa Ann may be fine in that time frame but she has not been given a chance for that yet. If interested in meeting or adopting Cocoa Ann please text Casey at 570-441-0083.  We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org. ##1653502##

Story
Maddie is the sweetest most gentle girl. She is 4 or 5 years old and 38 lbs of wonderful. Smart, affectionate, friendly, and eager to please, this family dog is good with other dogs and we can cat test. A must meet, for she will steal your heart for sure. (IF YOU DO NOT HEAR BACK, SEND US YOUR PHONE NUMBER, FOR WE REPLY EVERY FEW HOURS TO EMAILS) PREGNANT DOG RESCUE/LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility, specializing in pregnant dogs, moms with newborns, and small or medium adult dogs (we take in pregnant dogs, we do not adopt out pregnant dogs).  We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions!  (We often have puppies and moms not listed on the site, for they might be too young at the moment to list, so please, contact us to be sure of our available pups!)  We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. PREGNANT DOG And ALL BREED RESCUE/LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER puppies are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health. Our Puppies are current on vaccines, wormed, and extremely well cared for from birth - most even know how to use a dog door by the time they leave us!  They are friendly and social and very affectionate!  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! PDR/LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home.  Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile.  We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm and Lyme tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $595 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)  May 30, 2023, 6:36 pm

Story
Hi! My names Cleo Cleo is an (estimated) 2 year old. She is new to ARC and was brought in as a stray- She was very nervous around new people and about walking on a leash when she first arrived but is already starting to make great strides! She is a very sweet girl, may take a little time to form trust with new people in the beginning. Staff is working with Cleo to help her become more confident, She would benefit from a family that could be patient and continue to help her become more confident. A meet and greet at our shelter would be required for any potential canine siblings. We are unsure of cats at this time. If you are interested in helping Cleo become the dog she was meant to be then please stop by shelter and meet her. Cleo is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all vaccines. Go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form or e-mail Vicki at Vicki@nokillarc.org.

Story
Meet Benny! Benny is a 1.5 year old, Australian Shepherd mix. When Benny first arrived at our shelter, he was understandably confused and scared the first few days but he's been learning that staff coming to his door with a leash means he is going outside to have some fun! With the proper patience, he has learned to trust his regular "friends" and is starting to realize he doesn't need to be afraid of a lot of things. Benny is still a bit shy and timid with new people and new environments but if you show him some patience and allow him to warm up, he recovers quicker than he use to. He LOVES to run in our fences in play yard and he is FAST, and very energetic. Benny seems to get along with other dogs, and has made a few friends with dogs here at the shelter. He would love to have a friendly, confident resident dog to play with and to help show him the ropes. But most importantly, he needs a home with people who are patient, understanding and kind- letting him learn new things and explore at his own pace! (Benny can't be placed in a home with cats and children under 10).Benny is neutered, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. If you think this handsome fellow is right for you, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form and come meet him! (pre-approval forms can be found under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).
