You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Anna and her sister Elsa were signed over to the shelter. Despite their lack of socializing with humans and with other dogs for the first few months of life, they are responding well to the positives around them, and at 10 months old are making huge progress with their doggy skills They are in great hands with an experienced dog Behaviorist, who will help them become confident and able to adapt to life with humans. Up until now, they have been kept pretty much to themselves, although they have observed other dogs around them. We look forward to watching their progress.      PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2025, 12:00 pm

Story
Meet Brody, a 7 year old Aussie mix that is being foster in NJ! Brody is a handsome, outgoing mature mountain man! He is looking for an outdoorsy person to provide him with love and attention he needs. Brody could easily carry his own supplies on a camping trip. Brody is 100 lbs blue merle with a copper trim, one blue & brown/blue eye! Brody gets along with other dogs but does want to be the dominant male in the household. He loves car rides and is well behaved on vet visits. Brody loves to be outside! Brody is crate trained and could benefit from training reinforcement. Brody has shown some signs of resource guarding at his foster and could use training on management. Brody will not be placed in a home with small children. If Brody sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. Story
AUSSIE, very active, unbelievably smart. She’s 4 years old and weighs around 25 lbs Sissy needs to be in a home with an active lifestyle. Aussies are incredibly smart dogs that are motivated to learn & please you. If you don’t have experience with this breed, we highly recommend you do your research before applying. Australian Shepherds need to have a job and if they don’t, they will quickly assign themselves one. From Sissy's foster mom: Sissy is a high-energy dog who would thrive in a home with at least one other dog or a highly active owner who wants to walk her often. She loves going to the dog park and is very sociable. Having a fenced yard would be best since Sissy prefers to run around outside. She loves being brushed and loved on. She is house-broken and scratches at the door to go out. She is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. She is a very fun dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Sissy's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $300. Story
Knox is a beautiful one-year old Australian Shepherd, weighing 40 pounds. In our home hequickly bonded with our dog Maxie, following her, learning from her and sleeping close together.Knox is good with our cat, curious but mostly ignores her.At the dog park, Knox loves everyone, is very energetic and playful. His herding instincts couldbe there, but no interference to others. He seems to be submissive when meeting new dogs.Knox is shy with people. He is building relationships, realizing that people are good and kind.Knox is leashed trained, very seldom does he pull ahead; he walks by my side and stops when Istop. At this point Knox cannot be off leash. We are working on this with a long lead rope and the“come” command. He is house trained; he needs to go outside 4-5 times/day. Knox has acrate but prefers to be in a closed-door bedroom when left home alone (although he has Maxiewith him). He has not chewed or destroyed anything in our home.Knox would be best in a home with another dog, and a fenced-in yard or dog park to run andplay with other dogs.My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $275. If transport is needed, my adoption fee is $575 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Hello! re home my Aussie named Pete. He will be 2 years old in June. This has not been an easy decision for me, as I have had him since he was 3 months old. But ultimately, I think this route is the best option for him. I don't have the time or experience to give him the best life he deserves. Overall he's an incredibly sweet and good natured dog. Has never shown any aggression towards me or anyone he's come in contact with. He just wants to be active and be near his people. He does need more training, and needs work with pulling on his lead during walks. He would do best with an experienced owner that has a ton of time to work with him to keep him mentally and physically enriched. He lives with two cats that do not like him, and while he's never been aggressively mean to them, he wants to play with them and they don't like that. Pete would make a great addition to a very active family that has the time and energy to help make him the great dog I know he can be.
