Story
Lace… imagine you were taken from your home and put in a very loud bare room by yourself. You hide in the corner hoping your family will come … but they’re the ones who left you there …. Still you wait… hiding, afraid to move. A stranger comes and says do you want to get out of here, you go with her even though you don’t know her. She seems kind. So off to another place that you don’t know, you’re still afraid, but after a few days the fear gradually starts to go away. It’s time to start your new life and Bedford Humane Society will help you find it. Lace is a sweet girl, a little over weight but we are working on that. We were told Lace lived with another larger dog and a cat. She would need to meet the dog if there is one in new home, or I’m sure she would be happy being the only dog. Lace would do better in a home with older dog savvy children. Lace is house trained and walks on a leash, she does tend to get between your feet sometimes, she also rides well in a car. Lace is 5 years old. Her vaccinations are current, she is spayed, heart-worm negative and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. Knowledge of this herding breed would be helpful when considering adoption. Lace is a very sweet girl who would be a great addition to the right home. He has normal Aussie anxiety. Would do best in a single person home with another dog. He is not a real good fit for small kids. Herding instincts can kick in and he'll try and separate nip at random times if needed. Unfortunately I have 3 small children.

Story
Nimbus is a mixed‑breed boy who most closely resembles a Bohemian Spotted Dog, and his personality is every bit as lovely as his looks. He’s gentle, kind, goofy, and incredibly affectionate — the type of dog who loves to hold hands, give kisses, and curl up right beside you. He’s wonderfully social with other dogs and often acts as a calming buffer for pups who can be a bit selective. Smart and eager to learn, Nimbus thrives on training and is especially motivated by play; his favorite toy is a stuffed duck that quacks like the real thing. He’s expressive, full of personality, and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. Because he’s easily startled by quick movements and feels nervous around small children, he would be happiest in a calm home without them. With the right family, Nimbus will be the most loyal, loving, and joyful companion — the perfect boy waiting for his perfect match.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Nimbus' adoption fee is $275. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Bunny is a hard pup to decide on breed. We are not at all sure what she is. We are guessing Border Collie/Lab mix? She has a little head and skinny legs. She is very cute and fast. She's approximately 3 months old, and 20 pounds. We're not sure if she will be much bigger than a medium size. She is learning to be crate/potty trained. She still has a few accidents in her kennel. She loves to play and can be little rough with puppies smaller than her. She can be a total love bug once she gets her energy out. We think she's not a good choice for young children, because she does not know personal space. She was picked up as a stray and needs a new start in life. Bedford Humane Society has gotten her up to date medically, including her spay. Bunny has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, is too young to test for heartworms but has started on heartworm preventatives and on flea/tick preventative. Bunny's microchip will be registered in her new owner's name by BHS. For more information, please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out an adoption application.
