Story
Name: Packer Age: 3 months (10/21/25) Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Gender: Male Weight: 20 lbs Good with kids: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Curious, learning  Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes  Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: New London, WI Application & Website: https:/www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Meet Packer Packer was born on October 21, 2025, and made his way to Wisconsin all the way from Louisiana. He’s part of the “Super Bowl litter,” and while he was originally set to be adopted back home, his adopter backed out at the last minute. We can’t help but think it was fate, because a puppy named Packer clearly belongs in Wisconsin. Packer was the biggest puppy in his litter, and he carries that presence with a calm confidence. He’s an Australian Shepherd mix with a stunning, unique coat pattern and striking different-colored eyes that make him truly unforgettable. Compared to his foster sibling, Packer is a bit more shy at first, but he warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. He does great with children, shows gentle curiosity toward the cats, and already displays lovely manners for such a young pup. He also enjoys playing with his toys inside and exploring with his nose outside. Packer is currently in the very early stages of potty training, kennel training, and leash training, so he’ll need a patient, committed family willing to continue helping him learn and grow. His intelligence and eager-to-please nature make him a wonderful candidate for training. As an Australian Shepherd mix, Packer will likely be a moderate to high-energy dog once grown. He’ll thrive in a home that can offer regular exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to explore, whether that’s walks, outdoor adventures, or learning new skills. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle puppy with a special story and big potential, Packer may be the one fate picked just for you. January 13, 2026, 5:35 pm
