Seth Needs a Foster or Adopter by March 14 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin
Seth is currently in Arkansas and needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, March 14, 2026. A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there.
Meet Seth
Seth is a 1-year-old Aussie mix who is ready for a fresh start. He was originally found as a stray and ended up at a small rural shelter in Arkansas where intakes are far higher than adoption rates and kennels fill quickly. Thankfully, he is now safe in a foster home while he waits for his chance to head north and find a forever family.
Seth is a sweet, gentle boy who enjoys being around people. He can be a little shy when first meeting someone new, but he warms up quickly and shows his loving personality. Once he feels comfortable, he’s a very good boy who enjoys companionship and being part of the action.
He does well with other dogs and is good with kids. He hasn’t been around cats yet, so that is currently unknown. Seth is house trained and crate trained, which will help make his transition into a new home much easier. He is also working on improving his leash manners.
Seth is fully vetted and neutered, and at about 40 lbs he is a great medium size. He’s a wonderful dog who just needs someone willing to give him the loving home he deserves.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
