I am a super cute low rider bully mix.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? My ideal weight is around 35 pounds. I am working hard to attain that weight through a low calorie diet because I have gained a few extra pounds as I have gotten healthy and comfortable in foster care. At the moment, I weigh 40 pounds.   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a wrinkly face, a cute underbite, and short, chubby legs. My coloring is fawn, and, in the sun, I glow like a beautiful star. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my gorgeous light green eyes!   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? As I mentioned, I am watching my calories, so my foster parents feed me a good quality, low calorie kibble.   WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the sweetest girl ever! One of my favorite things to do is cuddle with a human on the couch because I love the attention. Attention is really the thing for me…I want to be the center of attention, the star of the show, and the life of the party! I am still young, so I have a lot of energy for walks and playtime. Let’s play fetch or tug with my toys!   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am pretty chill in the morning and will wait patiently for my humans to start the day. After dealing with the morning business, I love to go for a walk or a car ride, followed by lots of couch cuddles and naps. After some playtime with my foster brother, we both like to bake in the sun like the potatoes that we are! In sum: naps, cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing would be the perfect day for me.   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love pretty much all the toys! Nibbling on my squeaky stuffies is the current favorite, though.   DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Yes! I know how to sit and stay, and I will “go to apartment,” which is my fancy bedroom pen where I eat my meals and sleep. Oh, and perhaps my best trick is getting any and all humans to sit down on the couch and let me get up on their lap! I am an expert at that trick!   WHAT SCARES YOU? Oh, I am definitely not a fan of loud noises. I am slowly making friends with the vacuum cleaner and the blender—but those things still seem pretty suspicious, if you ask me. To help keep me from getting too scared when I’m alone, my foster mom makes sure I am relaxed and comfortable by turning on the television with soft music.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have hung out with some older kids (over 12 years old) and I did very well. That was fun! I do tend to get excited and jump up on people to get their attention, so it would probably be best if I am in a home with older kids only.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t been around any cats, so I can’t say one way or the other. It is probably best that we stick to dog friends for me, thanks.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with two other dogs in my foster home and we get along great. Introductions were taken slowly to set us up for a successful friendship, and I think that slow intros are key for me. It will help me to have time to get used to a new home, then gradually increasing exposure to any resident dogs in stages. I am playful and fun, and if we do this right, I will be an amazing friend for your dogs!   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would be on the couch, lying comfortably right next to my human or, better yet, lying comfortably ON my human! I will fall asleep as the happiest little nugget in your arms!   HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a strong and healthy girl! After I get to my goal weight, I will just need to maintain it and we are good to go!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, my foster brother Fez, and my foster sister Hazel. My closest companion is my foster mom, who is my cuddle buddy on the couch as she reads or watches television.   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am really great in my “apartment” when my humans leave the house! I settle quickly on my bed and calmly wait for them to return.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep comfortably in my cozy apartment. We have occasional slumber parties where we all pile into my foster parents’ bed, and I am such a good girl! I sleep through the night like an angel.   DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I get really excited to see my leash come out and then it is so much fun to get out and about in the neighborhood. Sometimes I will just stop mid-stride to spend some time taking in the amazing smells (who doesn’t love all the smells, right?).   DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I mentioned above that it’s all about me getting all the attention, right? Yeah, that’s the thing. I have a habit of nipping fingers and jumping up on people when I greet them. I am working on not doing this because I know I should be sitting quietly waiting for people to pet me. It’s hard because I love people so much and want to get their attention right away. I hope to learn how to control my excitement better. I will benefit from a forever home that will continue to work with me on my manners and training for good behaviors.   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? My foster parents make sure that I have access to the backyard on a regular schedule to help prevent accidents in the house. I’ve done great! I sleep through the night with no problem (yay, me!) and I will take myself outside if the door is open. But it is helpful to have a reminder to “go potty” because I sometimes get caught up in all the fun that is happening inside the house and forget to go out.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t like the hose at all. But I absolutely love a warm, soapy bath. I get all blissed out to the point that I actually fell asleep while bathing the other day!   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family makes me feel safe and loved. While I am learning good behaviors, they are so patient with my training. I feel very lucky to have a foster family that is helping me get used to a whole new, wonderful way of life. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was found roaming the streets of San Francisco. I was extremely skinny and was brought to SF Animal Care and Control. Luckily, I didn’t have to stay at that place very long before NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me out of there and brought me to my foster home. While in foster care, I have gained weight, my coat is shiny, I give wet sloppy kisses, and I am a great companion dog now. It is time for me to find my forever family! WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi there, I’m Belle! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m an adorable girlie girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? Probably about a year old as of December 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a petite lil bully mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? Like I said, I’m a petite lady, just over 40 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m white and reddish brown in color, and I have a cute, perfectly round spot right on the top of my head between my ears. I am a lowrider with a longer body, broad shoulders and short little legs. Foster dad says I have an adorably wrinkly nose. And foster mom adds that I have some cute little beauty marks on my snout. Wow, I’m blushing! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat my dry kibble for breakfast and dinner, and I really enjoy snacks of all kinds, from simple dog biscuits to peanut butter, baby carrots and bits of apple. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? Big! Foster mom says I am a perfect mix of silly, sweet, and spunky - teehee! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY? I like to start my day with biiiiiig stretches when I get out of my crate, followed by some cuddles and belly rubs before going potty and having breakfast, then maybe a little sniffing and exploring around the back yard. Then I like to nap, sunbathe and play with toys throughout the day while my foster parents are working. After that, I expect some quality snuggle time, followed by dinner, then a little more play time and - you guessed it - more snuggling before bed. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I don’t discriminate when it comes to toy selection, but I really love soft rubber bones and balls. I especially love chewing on a Chuck-it ball after dinner. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I only know sit right now, but I could probably learn more! WHAT SCARES YOU? Not much of anything scares me - I may be small, but I’m very brave! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes! I LOVE all the attention they give me and really lean in for all the pets I can get. I think I’d enjoy being part of a family with kids! DO YOU LIKE CATS? What are cats? HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? Because of my size, I feel the need to act tough at first, but with slow introductions I do like other dogs. I’m still learning how to play, but for now, I’m totally cool coexisting (and even cuddling) with my foster fur sisters who are very tolerant and patient with me. I have a bit of a wonky back end that I take joint supplements for. The vet also says that I have something called a heart murmur. These things don’t really slow me down too much, but they are something to keep an eye on. To help, it would probably be best if I lived in a single story home, and I’m definitely not suited for a lot of physical activity. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad plus two foster fur sisters. I love them all, but I love to cuddle with foster mom and dad the most. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my crate. But my foster mom and dad both work from home so I don’t have to be alone very often, and not for long periods of time. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate, too… I’d rather sleep in the human’s bed for sure, but I do just fine in my cozy crate and sleep through the night! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Yes, I love it! When I see my leash, I trot straight over to the front door. And I can’t move too fast so I’m really easy on leash and not reactive to other dogs, bikes, etc. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I have a big personality and I know what I want… so sometimes I can be a bit demanding. Like when I NEED to be snuggled, and when my foster parents are eating… I tell them they should be sharing by using my voice to remind them that I’m nearby! I also like to go outside and talk to the other neighbor dogs, but I’m learning to use my voice less. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am potty trained! There’s a doggie door in my foster home so I just go outside whenever I want. I might have a few accidents in a new home though, until I figure out a new routine, so please be patient with me.
