Gaten is a lovable 4-year-old boy who has already fought so hard for his second chance, and now he’s just waiting for the family who will make it all worth it. Gaten was rescued from Orange County Animal Services in Orlando just moments before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He made it out of the shelter in time, but his journey wasn’t over yet. After entering rescue, Gaten needed treatment for a painful case of “happy tail.” Ultimately, his tail was amputated, allowing him to finally heal, feel comfortable, and move forward pain-free. Through all of it, Gaten has never lost his sweetness. He is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of love for the people around him. He loves making new friends and has a happy, easygoing personality that makes him such a joy to have around. After everything he has experienced, his ability to simply love and trust people is pretty special. Gaten is dog-friendly and could happily share his forever home with a canine companion, or he would be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only spoiled pup. He is fully vetted, healthy, and ready to leave the hardest parts of his story behind him. Gaten came heartbreakingly close to never getting this chance. This beautiful girl is Mya. Oh what a happy loving little girl. She's one of the dirt road puppies. We saved her and her two sisters. Then they got parvo. They were lucky and recovered. Mya loves everybody. Her little dumpling butt just can't stop wiggling.

This happy girl lives up to her name, a sassy personality indeed. Sassafras is an adult beauty, with a brilliant smile that brightens anyone's day. She is the life of the party and loves to be the center of attention. She can not wait to go outside and either go in the yards and sniff everything possible, or go on a brisk walk, leading the way. Sassy is protective of her space and loyal to her friends but will welcome new people into her circle with a slow introduction. She doesn't seem to mind the company of some canines, but we have found her to be selective and she would prefer to have the people all to herself. She adores toys and goes for the stuffed squeaky toys every time. She will chase balls to the point of exhaustion but her favorite past time is water play. When given the opportunity, she loves splashing in a wading pool, chasing the spray of a hose and swimming in the bay. She is very treat motivated, which is helpful in her learning of basic obedience. Curling up in a comfy bed or cuddled up with a friend is the best way to end her day. Our special needs senior, Missy, is looking for her forever home. Missy is a 100% sweetheart despite being blind (from built up scar tissue). Missy is currently in a foster home and her foster mom tells us she is the perfect dog if you're looking for a calm senior who is happy to chill most of the day. She does have eye medication which she gets twice a day. Her skin was in need of some help when Missy came to us but with weekly medicated baths, it has improved tremendously and continues to improve. Now she only needs them once or twice a month. Missy is currently in a home with another dog and, although she doesn't play, she's happy to hang out with her canine friend. Taking walks is not big on her list of things to do, but she will wait at the door when she needs to go potty and is happy to cruise around the fenced yard.
