A puppy farm is closing and we’ve stepped in to save two English Bulldogs: 4-year-old momma Snickers 6-month-old male pup Nutter Butter We took them in with no questions asked to get them to safety, but now we need a warm place for them to land before the storm hits. We are looking for foster who can: Provide a safe, warm indoor space to crash. Work closely with us to get them to vet appointments. Give them the love and decompression time they deserve after leaving the farm. Can you open your heart and home to these two? Even a temporary spot makes a massive difference. Pudge is an adult Bully mix. He was found as a stray and never claimed. He is very sweet and playful and gets along with other dogs. He will have some special needs going forward because of his breeding so he will need a home with someone who has verified experience with a special needs dog. He is good with children but will need a home with children who understand his limitations.

Luis is an energetic, super social 2 year old, 39 lb. dog who came to us as a stray. We noticed right away that Luis didn’t seem to need much time to adjust—this outgoing pup made friends on his very first day! We’re not sure why, but Luis’ big heart and joyous personality hasn’t helped him find his forever home. After a month in the shelter, he is at high risk of behavioral decline and kennel stress and urgently needs to leave the shelter with an adopter or rescue partner who can provide him with lots of exercise, attention and all the love and fun he deserves! Luis contracted an upper respiratory infection during his stay in the shelter, but has been taking his medication and is out of isolation. Otherwise, he appears to be a healthy dog at this time with the possible exception of his ability to sniff out and enjoy a remarkable, slightly unnerving, number of hot dogs. Luis has had a good dog meet in the shelter and may enjoy a canine companion to burn off some energy. While he is a good-natured and friendly dog, at this time he would do best in a home without young children given his puppy-like and exuberant behaviors and one observed instance of possible guarding over toys. 2 years old - good with dogs , older kids and not sure about cats. Macho is a 3 - 4 year old English bulldog with a gentle nature and heart of gold! The staff and volunteers who know Macho best rave about his chill and laid back personality, always happy to go on a slow walk, take a car ride, or even go on an adventure. This 50 lb guy has never met a stranger for long, always happy to meet someone new, especially if they have a treat to offer! Our volunteers have brought Macho on several outings like Home Depot and Lowes where he has gotten to enjoy a reprieve from the shelter setting. He's even gone to some volunteer's homes to hang out, and hopped in staffs' cars for quiet nap time! (Not that it would be quiet for long...this guy can seriously snore!) Macho just loves being around his favorite people and getting attention. Wherever he goes, Macho remains calm and happy, a testament to his good nature and even keeled personality! Macho knows basic obedience and walks well on a leash. He is incredibly food motivated which really helps with his training and learning, but can also manifest as mild resource guarding when it comes to messing with his food or toys. Macho tolerates being around other dogs, but would prefer to be the only pet in the home! He was briefly placed with another dog but returned after 3 days for not wanting to share space with the existing dog. However, he is completely fine on leash with other dogs and shows no aggression or reactivity!Macho is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Meet Skye! Skye is a 4-year-old French Bulldog who is with us today because we chose compassion. Skye came to CH Boxer Rescue after being diagnosed with IVDD. She was purchased as a puppy with this common condition and it almost cost her life. When Skye’s IVDD presented, one family member believed euthanasia was the simplest answer. Skye’s mom couldn’t accept that as her only option. Instead, she made the selfless decision to surrender Skye to rescue so she could have a chance at life without pain. That choice saved Skye’s life. Skye is now safe in a wonderful foster home where her pain is controlled and her gentle spirit is intact. She is fully mobile, housetrained, continent, and genuinely happy. Skye has bonded deeply with her foster mom and has become a devoted little velcro dog who just wants to be close to her person. She is calm and kind with other dogs, but for her safety we are seeking a home with only calm companions or as an only dog. We know this is a special adoption. Experience with IVDD is preferred but not mandatory, and we can walk you through the treatment. One-level living without stairs would also be helpful. We understand that narrows the adoption field—but Skye is worth it.
