Story
Meet the handsome Big Poppa! This sweet boy is a 4 year old male English Bulldog. He is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything he meets. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He still has lots of energy and he loves to romp and play. He never turns down a good belly rub. . Even though he is considered an adult, he still has lots of puppy energy! He loves to play ball and to run around the yard. He would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home! If you are interested in adopting please apply through our website www.southernpawsinc.org/adopt or send us an email at southernpawsrescue@gmail.com!

Story
Luis is an energetic, super social 2 year old, 39 lb. dog who came to us as a stray. We noticed right away that Luis didn’t seem to need much time to adjust—this outgoing pup made friends on his very first day! We’re not sure why, but Luis’ big heart and joyous personality hasn’t helped him find his forever home. After a month in the shelter, he is at high risk of behavioral decline and kennel stress and urgently needs to leave the shelter with an adopter or rescue partner who can provide him with lots of exercise, attention and all the love and fun he deserves! Luis contracted an upper respiratory infection during his stay in the shelter, but has been taking his medication and is out of isolation. Otherwise, he appears to be a healthy dog at this time with the possible exception of his ability to sniff out and enjoy a remarkable, slightly unnerving, number of hot dogs. Luis has had a good dog meet in the shelter and may enjoy a canine companion to burn off some energy. While he is a good-natured and friendly dog, at this time he would do best in a home without young children given his puppy-like and exuberant behaviors and one observed instance of possible guarding over toys. 2 years old - good with dogs , older kids and not sure about cats. Story
Ollie is an English bulldog who loves to play and sleep. He was bred in Oklahoma by a bulldog breeder. Ollie is 5 years old and his birthday is May 5, cinco de mayo! He is very sweet, he likes to cuddle but only when he comes to you. Very Taurus of him!! He loves to play with balls and go on walks. He is an active bulldog but chills when you want him to be. He gets excited when he sees people and is very friendly. Ollie gets along with kids very well, he’s very gentle to his 2 year old twin sisters. He is crate trained and rings bells to be let out to potty. He is potty trained but will go inside if left for long periods. One thing to note: I’ve accustomed him to be spoon fed and he likes shredded cheese with his kibble. He is my literal baby. He likes his faced washed after eating too! He is my baby, my heart is broken but I just can’t give him the attention I used to. I feel horrible for keeping him home most days. I’m looking for someone who loves English bulldogs & will love him

Story
Duke is a big, goofy guy who just wants to be loved. He loves to run and play, but also loves getting hugs and belly rubs. He can't wait for a family of his own. Duke is generally a healthy boy, but like most bulldogs he does have allergies. Anti-allergy medicine and eye drops have controlled most of the symptoms, but he will need continuous care to control the allergies throughout his life. Due is otherwise strong and healthy. His adoption includes his neuter and cherry-eye surgery; his full series of DHLPPi (distemper), Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm and tick-bourne disease testing; heartworm and flea and tick preventive; microchip; and 30 days of free pet insurance. Duke is a friendly boy and loves people! He can sometimes be a little bit too enthusiastic and doesn't always know his own size - when he's happy to see you, he will greet you like a 70lb wrecking ball! But he is also kind and gentle, and enjoys cuddling and being pet. He is wonderful for his eye medication and great about having his facial folds cleaned and feet handled. He has been good with other dogs, but introductions must be made and a case-by-case decision for any household with another dog. He has also been good with cats, but again, doesn't know his own size and can be too enthusiastic in his greetings, so only a very dog-savy cat would be appropriate. Because Duke can be so enthusiastic, he is not a good fit for a household with young children, but he would be fine with teens and older. Duke is housetrained and crate-trained, but is scared of walking on a leash, and often freezes in place and refuses to move. He is working on his leash skills, but he does require a home with a fenced-in yard, both as an outlet for his energy and until he perfects his leash skills. Do you have a Duke-sized spot on your couch? Email CAHadoptions@gmail.com for more information. Please note- Due to Duke's allergies we are looking for an adopter with an extensive previous veterinary history. Adopters from the northern NJ area are favored, but out of state adopters will be considered. Duke's adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all of the medical care listed above.

Story
Orlando is a purebred Olde English Bulldog. He has the biggest, wrinkliest head, big body, and adorable stubby tail. Additionally, Orlando’s coat is the softest thing ever. He is like a very fluffy bulldog! What could get better than that? Orlando is affectionate with his selected people and loves treats and toys. He loves to play outside, and absolutely loves the water (especially on hot summer days). He loves to get sprayed with the hose, as he tries to bite the water, and enjoys standing in baby pools to cool off.Orlando enjoys going for walks. He has gotten better on a leash, but could still use some gentle training to help with puppy tendencies. He also knows basic commands like sit, and is a smart boy. Orlando needs to be an only pet. He is young, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines.
