Story
Adoptions include neuter, vaccinations and microchip. Jerry is a lively dog that enjoys being close to his foster family and playing/running the yard. I am fully crate trained and sleep in my crate at night. He enjoys playing with his toys and follows commands, such as "take a seat" in which he understands where he is to go sit. He is social and interacts with people and other dogs well. Jerry is not good with cats at all, so he needs to got a home in which there are no cats.

We are working with him on commands, and he is slowly making progress. Otis is great on leash with very little pulling and no interest in other dogs while walking (i.e. no lunging). When he wants pets, he will nudge his face into your arms and very gently wave his paw. This animal posted is not under the care, custody, or control of Friends For Life and shall at no time be considered the property of Friends For Life. Sadie is an 8yr old female English Bulldog looking for a loving forever family. Sadie and her partner Buster were abandoned in a backyard for over a month after her former family moved out without them. Facing the elements and a lack of food, Sadie and Buster are now working on putting on weight and growing a healthy, shiny coat once again (both of which are totally possible!). Sadie is currently being fostered in Bryan, Texas, but is available for nationwide transport to the right home. She is incredibly sweet and social; loves all of the people in her home (especially the children); and has been good with the other animals in the home. Story
Buster is an 8yr old male English Bulldog looking for a loving forever family. Buster and his partner Sadie were abandoned in a backyard for over a month after her former family moved out without them. Facing the elements and a lack of food, Buster and Sadie are now working on putting on weight and growing a healthy, shiny coat once again (both of which are totally possible!). Buster is currently being fostered in San Antonio, Texas, and is available for nationwide adoption to the right home. Buster is much more apprehensive than Sadie and needs to move at a slower pace with potential adopters. Buster has a shorter fuse and gets frustrated easily; that said, treats and food are a fan-favorite for him and quickly help him make friends with the people in the home. Some of Buster's standoffish-ness is likely a result of underlying pain/discomfort from neglect coupled with a general distrust of people, given his background. That said, we have full confidence that with good groceries, quality veterinary care, and time (ALL of which he is getting while in our program), Buster will relax and become a social, happy companion.
