Story
Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please email Jenn at jennc@mac.com or text at 801-554-9501.

Story
This goofy meatball is Peanut Butter (PB to his friends). He is around 3 years old, just under 40 lbs. and came to us from an overcrowded local shelter. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter and needed surgery for a cherry eye and some training in how to be a good dog. BP has been staying with our friends over at B-Hyve K9, who are helping him get some training that he so desperately needs. So far, he’s doing very well with his training classes. PB will need to be an only pet. He is a very sweet boy, but he loves his humans and isn’t really willing to share. PB would do best in a home without a lot of activity and without small children (teenagers and older, please). He’s doing well with his house training, too. To make sure he’s as successful as he can be in his new home B-Hyve K9 has offered 6 lessons to his adoptive parents as a follow-up, to help his new family continue down the positive road he’s on. PB is quite the character and is looking for a quiet home with just one or two people who will give him the love, attention and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. We are looking for a family willing to continue his training with B-Hyve K9 and improve his quality of life. PB has had his cherry eye repaired, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and he is also microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.

Oh my heck this boy!! Xander Lane will for sure keep you on you toes in the absolute best way. He is goofy, loving, full of personality, and will always keep you entertained and laughing. He's the type of dog that doesn't even necessarily need to be doing anything, just existing and he'll still make you smile with the cute little expressions he makes. One of my favorite things about him is how happy he is all the time and of course the way his tongue peeps out of his mouth. He instantly makes us smile and we know he'll make you smile too. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/MG2VrOkorno?si=lfTSvRujHmhikXsz Xander Lane is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs and is full grown. He is the perfect fun size, not too big and not too small. He is exceptionally dog friendly and loves to make doggy friends. He is best friends with an 80 lb male that is just as goofy as he is and they love playing together. He also met a massive cane corse who is triple he size and he wasn't intimated by him or anything. All he wanted to do was play with him and Xander even took a correction from the big guy for playing too rough and did beautiful with the correction. Xander would love to be adopted out to a family that has another dog that he can play with and romp around in the back yard with. He also would do best in a home with a backyard. He loves to be outside, rolling around in the grass and just living his good ole doggy best life. Xander is medium energy that will require exercise and mental stimulation. He's not a marathon runner nor will he require that much exercise but a good romp in the yard, short run in the neighborhood, and I'm sure would also make a great adventure companion in the mountains. He will need to polish his leash skill and learn some basic obedience manners but he is treat motivated and eager to please. Which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in his forever home. We are willing to test Xander Lane with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Let me tell you about this super special gal, Toots McGee. She is the absolute cutest and has the personality to match! She wins the miss congeniality contest by far. Not to mention she's cute as a button and she's teeny tiny! One of the first times I ever met Toots she immediately melted into to me and rested her head into my hands and was instantly giving me kisses. She absolutely loves affection and believes any affections is good affection. Especially booty scratches, she loves to lean into her people and tilt her booty towards you asking for those booty scratches. And oh my heck this girls face is oh so squishy!! Watch her personality here: https://youtu.be/yzQOEYk3yWU?si=nkhrdBqa-OlxPy-Y Toots McGee is believed to be a Bulldog/Staffy mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs and is full grown. We do not believe she is going to get much bigger if at all. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Toots is very dog friendly and this girl loves to play! Her play style is definitely on the rough and rowdy side and very typical of the bully breed. She tumbles, bulldozes, plays chase, rolls, and she'll tackle you with kisses to end her play time. She also did really well with a smaller dog that was about 25 lbs and the did great together. The smaller dog is use to more rough and rowdy play as well and didn't mind her play style. Toots isn't play all the time, she knows when to be calm and from what we can tell she has shown to have great house manners so far. Which makes us believe that she is potty trained. Although she may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in her forever home. Toots would do best in a home with a backyard where she can romp around, smell the roses, and simply enjoy the fresh air. She also would love to join you on walks in the park! She's a social butterfly and would love to go explore with you. Toots is very eager to please, super loyal, and treat motivated! All things that will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable with this girl than it already would be. She is a joy to be around and is the type of dog that will instantly make your day brighter. We are willing to test Toots McGee with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know! Story
This cute guy is Bubba, and he would love nothing more than to be your forever cuddle companion. Bubba is a low energy 40 pound, 6-year old French Bulldog. Bubba is SO sweet and will follow his person everywhere. He is quite easy going, rarely barks and is perfectly content with a chew toy by himself as well. Bubba has IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) so has some limitations using his back legs, but it doesn't slow him down. He does great in the house with tile or carpet, and can get around great on his own with very limited assistance. He can climb and descend a few stairs, but would do best in a home without many stairs, or an apartment with an elevator. He really loves being outside and going for walks, but drags his feet so he can develop sores without shoes so access to a grassy area would be great. He is potty trained, but due to his IVDD can drip a little, but he does great with a diaper. This is drastically improving with the removal of two bladder stones. It's not his fault though, so his forever person will have to be patient with this. Bubba is crate trained and loves all of the people he's met. He is good with other dogs with a slow introduction, but he much prefers his people. Cats unknown. He's potty trained, good with dogs, generally ignores cats and crate trained. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Huey and Blue are Littermate very bonded Brothers. They are 4 year old Frenchtons ( French Bulldog/ Boston Terrier) We adopted them together as puppies and they MUST go together to a good loving home with more time for walks, play, cuddles and affection. Both are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, potty trained, and neutered. Due to divorce and now being a single parent who also travels frequently for work, it pains me to give them up but I'd love to see them go to a family who has more time to dedicate to them. They love attention, cuddles, and pets. They are great on and off leash and love walks, chasing balls, dog parks and anything active. The rehoming fee ensures me they'll go to a good home who can take care of them as I did. Also includes all accessories such as collars, leashes, crates, dog beds, toys, left over food, ect. I will be conducting interviews and would like to see their new home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. In a world of paws and wags, there's a tale to be told, Of Tase, a Bull Terrier mix, brave and bold. At fifty pounds, he's a bundle of fun, Waiting for a family, maybe you're the one? Just a young pup, not yet two, With a heart so vast and love so true. Potty trained, crate savvy, a clever mind, In Tase, a forever friend, you'll surely find. Athletic and spry, with a zest for play, He leaps over fences, in a joyful ballet. But when folks are home, he'd rather not stay In his crate, preferring your company, night and day. Other dogs? He likes them, it's true, But Tase needs a home where he's taught what to do. He's a tad stubborn, yet smart as they come, A bit of training, and he'll be second to none. He knows where treats are, a food lover indeed, An active owner is just what he'll need. Training, stimulation, and boundaries set right, With these, Tase will be an absolute delight. And when the day's done, and the stars align, He'll lean in for snuggles, this friend of mine. Gentle and calm, with a heart that glows, He's the buddy you need, the one everyone knows. So here's to Tase, a gem yet to shine, In search of a home, loving and kind. Adopt this sweet soul, let him into your life, Together, you'll conquer joy, love, and strife.   Hi! My name is Tase and if my foster moms cute poem didn't convince you I'm amazing, maybe this info will! I am a 45lb, almost 2 year old Bull Terrier Mix.  I'm a happy dude who likes to play. I enjoy chewing toys but I'm not destructive and I even know where the doggy toy box is at my foster home. Sometimes I just grab a toy and play by myself for a while. I'm also really great at sharing toys with my doggy friends. We can play tug for a while but if they really want the toy, they can have it. That's because I get along with every dog I've met from my three foster babies who climb all over me to my grumpy old foster siblings who want to be left alone. While I like playing with toys, I also just like to sit on your shoes, lean against your legs, and snuggle on the couch. I like to play and run around but I'm actually a pretty calm guy.  In addition to being amazing with other dogs, I am house trained and crate trained as well. I am also great with humans, but I would probably do best with older kids because I am a thick boy who likes to lean against human legs and sit on human feet. I don't think the little kids can hold me up. Since I am such a curious boy, I should go to a home without cats.  I would really love a family who will provide me with some physical and mental stimulation. I'm very food motivated which makes me a quick learner!   If you need a new doggy bestie, please apply at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication .  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 12:22 pm
