This striking little Shar-pei/lab mix is Cecilia Cub brought into the program by our very own, Olga! Cecilia is right around a year old and weighs 45 lbs of pure love and sweetness! She has the absolutely cutest face and beautiful medium-length mocha colored coat! Her snout resembles a shar-pei and she is petite with long legs but like we always say … with rescue it’s just a guess! The cutest thing about this little angel pup … when she gets comfortable with her person/people she will do this adorable pitter pattering in her crate because she’s so excited to see you! She will lift her paw, begging to be let out of her crate so she can give lots of doggy hugs and kisses! She just wants to show you all the love! Cecilia is truly what love is made of! When you first meet her, she has this cute little series of hops, almost like a bunny, where she will jump to you then away from you trying to establish trust. She’s not fearful, it’s just her way of checking out new people as she needs time to warm up. If you sit or crouch she will immediately come to you … she feels more safe when you’re on her level. This precious girl just wants love and affections from her humans. She also displays the same hop/jump game when first meeting dogs - it’s almost like a game of tag and chase so she can make sure everything is a-ok! Cecilia is not a vocal dogs and rarely barks! She would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she received proper daily physical and mental stimulation. She is also completely house and crate trained. She rides well in the car and can easily get in and out on her own. She’d love to accompany her new person/people on errand runs and road trips! Cecilia walks so gently on leash! She’s still a young girl and can easily get sidetracked and stop to smell the roses! She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze with this girl. She’s still young and very malleable so the sky’s the limit for sweet Cecilia! Shes such an amazing pup and so stable that our behavior team has been able to use her in assessments and playgroups consisting of dogs that vary in size (7 lbs to 90 lbs) and temperament. She’s an absolute rockstar and was even able to stay calm and keep her composure when a fight broke out in playgroup. Whip is the sweetest guy around and is looking for his forever home! He is a stunner with a striking face and a beautiful brindle coat. Whip is around 9 months old and was rescued from a rough neighborhood on the reservation. He is very sweet and loves people after a short, initial warm up period- which is usually pretty quick because this boy is food motivated! He is friendly with other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with his friends. He loves soft cozy dog beds and bones and toys to play with. He's doing great on a leash and is learning how much fun it can be to ride in the car. When it's time to eat he gets so excited he will jump in the air and do happy dances. Whip is crate and house trained and is a pro at the dog door in his foster home. Whip will be happiest in a home with a yard to run in and another outgoing and friendly dog that will play with him. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped. This goofy meatball is Peanut Butter (PB to his friends). He is around 3 years old, just under 40 lbs. and came to us from an overcrowded local shelter. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter and needed surgery for a cherry eye and some training in how to be a good dog. BP has been staying with our friends over at B-Hyve K9, who are helping him get some training that he so desperately needs. So far, he’s doing very well with his training classes. PB will need to be an only pet. He is a very sweet boy, but he loves his humans and isn’t really willing to share. PB would do best in a home without a lot of activity and without small children (teenagers and older, please). He’s doing well with his house training, too. To make sure he’s as successful as he can be in his new home B-Hyve K9 has offered 6 lessons to his adoptive parents as a follow-up, to help his new family continue down the positive road he’s on. PB is quite the character and is looking for a quiet home with just one or two people who will give him the love, attention and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. We are looking for a family willing to continue his training with B-Hyve K9 and improve his quality of life. PB has had his cherry eye repaired, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and he is also microchipped.
