A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Ruger is a handsome 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a calm, understanding home. He’s a sensitive guy who does best with patience, space, and the ability to make his own choices. Once he feels comfortable, Ruger can be affectionate and loving with his people. He’s quite active and enjoys playtime as well as the company of other dogs. Ruger will thrive with someone who has breed experience and understands Cocker Spaniel tendencies. He does have some resource guarding around food and toys, so he needs thoughtful management and a low-stress, adult-only home. No children, please. With a calm environment and a compassionate approach, Ruger has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion for the right person. Ruger currently weighs about 17 lbs and is approximately 5 years old (estimated birth date 09/23/2020). His adoption fee is $315. Ruger has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped.
