Story
Meet Dara.
This adorable girl has an incredibly sweet, loving and playful personality. More than anything, Dara wants to be close to her people. She loves attention, affection, and simply being wherever you are.
Dara gets along great with other dogs and cats, and is full of youthful energy. She loves to wrestle and play with other dogs, chase and retrieve her stuffed toys and ball, and then settle in for some quality cuddle time.
Dara is doing great with potty and crate training, and will continue to do well with a family who offers patience and consistency as she adjusts to her new home environment and routine. She came to Hero significantly underweight. Now, after several weeks of nutritious meals, she is becoming stronger and working her way toward a healthy weight.
Despite what she has been through, she is an incredibly happy, affectionate little dog who seems grateful for every bit of love and attention she receives.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
