Story
Ellington came to us as part of a hoarding case, but you'd never know it from his heart. Despite everything this sweet boy has been through, he is completely loving and has one very clear mission in life: getting belly rubs. Ellington gets along great with other dogs and loves having canine company. He's a little unsure of new people at first, but give him a few minutes to warm up, and that shy pup turns into a dog who just wants to lean on you and soak up some love. He's never walked on a leash before, but he's a smart cookie and picks things up quickly with a little patience. Because leash training is new to him, we're looking for a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely explore and learn the ropes. Since he takes a little time to warm up to new faces, we're not yet sure how he'd do with young children, so we're prioritizing homes without small kids for now. Ellington is ready to leave his past behind and start his happily ever after - could that be with you? Ellington's estimated birthdate is July 2019 and he weighs about 20lbs. To schedule a time to meet with this dapper gentleman, please apply at furkids.org and our adoption team will get back in touch with you soon. You must be 21+ to adopt. The adoption fee is $175.

Story
Meet Ella... a precious girl who deserves a fresh start. Ella came to Furkids after being rescued from animal control as part of a large hoarding case, where she spent far more time with other dogs than with people. As a result, she can be scared and skittish around humans and still has a lot to learn about trusting us. Ella gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. Since she's never been on a leash and is currently a flight risk, we're requiring a home with a secure, small-breed-proof fenced yard. Ella may try to dart away at first, but once she's safely in your arms, she melts into the attention and affection. This sweet girl just needs someone willing to give her the chance at a normal, loving life she's never had. Ella's estimated birthdate is May 2019 and she weighs about 17 pounds. Her adoption fee is $315 and she has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Wanna learn more about Ella or set up a meet & greet? Fill out an adoption survey at furkids.org/adopt and a team member will reach out to you soon. You must be 21+ to adopt!

Story
Introducing beautiful Evie! Evie's early life was part of a hoarding case, and the effects still linger.. she's a nervous, easily overwhelmed girl who needs a soft touch and steady patience. But give her time to warm up, and a genuinely sweet, loving dog starts to emerge. Right now, Evie has no concept of everyday dog life. A leash is something totally unfamiliar to her, and it can overwhelm her. She's bright, though, and very capable of learning, she just needs a family willing to move at her speed and celebrate the small wins along the way. Having another small breed dog in the home would make a world of difference for Evie. A canine role model can help her figure out what normal, everyday life as a dog actually looks like. Because leash walks aren't an option for her yet, we're asking that her new home come with a secure, fenced yard sized for a small breed, so she has room to roam and settle in safely. Evie's estimated birthdate is July 2020, and she weighs about 12 pounds. Her adoption fee is $315 and she has been vaccinated, microchipped, and fixed. To learn more about her, please apply at furkids.org/adopt and a team member will be in touch with you soon! You must be 21+ to adopt.

Story
Meet Sweet Dolly Darling    Dolly Darling is a gentle, senior, 12 year old, Cocker Spaniel. In her golden years, she is looking for a simple life with a warm dog bed and a peaceful place to rest. Dolly is very timid and shy, especially in new environments. With limited vision, she finds comfort in calm spaces and a predictable routine. She may take some time to feel safe, but once she does, she will quietly settle in and you won't hear a peep from her.   If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Dolly Darling would love to spend her senior years keeping you company. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Suncrest – Sweet, Smart, and Ready for a Fresh Start!    Suncrest is a lifelong Angel who entered foster care as a puppy in 2018 and was adopted into a loving home. After several happy years, he was sadly returned — but with some anxiety and leash reactivity. But don’t let that hold you back — this boy is full of heart and potential!   Since returning, Suncrest has started professional training and is receiving medication to help calm his busy mind. He’s responded wonderfully, especially given his limited time and environment. But with consistency, structure, and a steady supply of cheesy treats (his favorite!), Suncrest is eager to keep growing in a calm, committed home.   He’s looking for an experienced, dog-savvy person who can continue his training and provide the stability he needs. While he’s not suited for first-time dog owners, in the right hands, he will truly shine. Want to be Suncrest’s hero? We’d love to set up a meet-and-greet with you and your resident dog(s)! An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.              March 7, 2026, 7:49 pm

Story
Copperline is a very sweet Cocker Spaniel and all-around good boy. Copper is 5 1⁄2 years old and almost 20 pounds. He has a medium energy level (which bumps up to excited when you return home). He is gentle, polite, and has excellent house manners (no chewing shoes or household items), along with being housetrained. He also does well in a crate, though there is no need to crate him. Copper is a tripod; he had his left front leg removed after being attacked by another dog. He is doing well and his quality of life is still great. He’s good walking on leash, goes up and down stairs easily, and can jump up onto the couch or bed just fine. Copper is friendly, great with touching, and is becoming more cuddly. Pets, belly rubs and head scratches are always welcome. He is also happy to sit on the couch or bed while you’re working or busy. Copper likes meeting other dogs and gets along with them well. He does not chase cats. Copper rides well in the car. At home, he may alert bark if he hears anyone unfamiliar come around but otherwise does not normally bark. Copper knows some commands like sit, stay, and come. We are beginning to work on the basics, but he will likely need training for reinforcement. He loves treats of all kinds, so his motivation can be directed into training. Copperline would love to meet you! Story
Meet Everest. Life hasn’t been nice to Everest, he came to Furkids as part of a hoarding case where he experienced extreme neglect and grew up in awful conditions. Because of his traumatic past, Everest is a fearful dog and will need an owner experienced with traumatized dogs. He can become nervous when being picked up and may try to lightly nip when he feels scared. He has no experience on leash and gets seriously frightened when walking on leash, so he will require a fenced in yard to safely go potty. He is a smart dog and we do believe with consistency and patience, he will be able to learn to walk on a leash. Everest loves other dogs and will need another confident dog in the home to learn from. After all of the neglect he’s experienced and love he’s been deprived of, Everest needs someone who will give him the patience and time he needs to learn that humans can be trusted. His estimated birthdate is July 2024 and his adoption fee is $315. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. To learn more about him, please apply at Furkids.org and our team will get in touch to speak more about him. You must be 21+ to adopt.

Story
Elle is a sweet 6-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a story of resilience. Rescued from a hoarding situation, she's slowly learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place, and she's blossoming more every day. Her foster says Elle is a quiet, easygoing girl with no separation anxiety, making her a wonderfully low-stress companion. She's house trained using pee pads and is already getting comfortable using a fenced backyard for potty breaks. She's still a bit shy out in public, but she's making steady progress on the leash and enjoys walks once she's familiar with her surroundings. Because of her timid nature, she'll need a fenced-in yard as she continues learning how to safely and confidently walk on leash. What Elle wants most is love. She adores human attention and cuddles, and lighting up for affection is her favorite thing in the world. Elle gets along great with other dogs, making her an easy addition to a canine-loving family. She also has a beautiful, silky coat that her foster says has very minimal shedding. Because of her background, Elle would do best in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. She's not looking for excitement - just a soft place to land, someone to snuggle with, and time to learn that good things are here to stay. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who will reward your patience with unconditional affection, Elle might just be your perfect match! Elle's estimated birthdate is July 2020, and she currently weighs 14lbs. Her adoption fee is $315 and she has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. To learn more about Elle or schedule an in-person meeting, please fill out an adoption survey at furkids.org/adopt and our team will be in touch with you shortly. You must be 21+ to adopt.
