Maizee is about 51/2 months old. She is a Red Tick hound/Great Pyrenees and weighs about 45 pounds but will weight at least 60 plus when grown. Brought in at 4 weeks, mom was a stray. We are working on house and crate training now. She is good with other dogs. Spayed and up to date on vaccines. So, she is ready to go to her forever home. Copper is a goofy 4.5-year-old Redtick Hound who was most likely a former hunting dog. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter, malnourished with cuts and sores all over his ears. He's now looking for a family who will love him and give him a safe and secure home to rest his sweet head.  Copper weighs about 62 pounds and behaves like a typical Hound, likes to sniff, explore & follow the trail of small critters.  He hasn't met a stranger and would love to be in an active home with other dogs! He has a lot of energy so although he's lived in a home with a teenager, we feel a home with older kids only would be best. He would also do best with a yard where he can get out some of that Hound energy. Copper is housetrained and a good houseguest. Ralphie is a male dog. He is very sweet, although very hyper. He is a good boy. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is brown and black with beautiful long legs. He is very vocal. He loves walks and play time. He loves his toys as well. He prefers stuffed toys bout the rubber toys work better because he destroys the stuffed ones fairly easy and soon. He desires his very own special family with less animals so he can have more attention on him. He craves people time and lots of affection. He rides well in the vehicle. He's very eager to please. He's very trainable if he has someone to work with him on a regular basis. He needs to be worked with on potty training. He walks on a leash but is still in the early stages of learning not to pull and walk the walker. He gets along with other animals, dogs and cats, but he does need time to warm up to them before they are just turned loose together. I would suggest slow, short introductions to start with and go from there. He has has all his vaccinations and is heart worm negative. He is on monthly heart worm prevention. He has been microchipped so if he were to get away from you, you will have a better of chance finding him. He is neutered. He is roughly 2 to 3 years old. He loves kids, but I would suggest older kids due to his young age and overly hyper tendencies. He loves to jump high and run. It would be great if he could have an area to run and play with his family so he doesn't have to worry about getting away or having any accidents. A fence of some sort would be ideal. He is food aggressive. I believe he had been deprived of food in the past and that is why he is this way. I do believe he can be worked with on this and in time it will cease. In my opinion, he just needs to know he doesn't have to fight for his food and his food is available when he is hungry. Other than that, I have never heard him growl or show unhappiness. I am 20 weeks old! My mom is a Scruffy Terrier mix and dad was a Black and Tan Coonhound mix. I am a fun loving happy go lucky hound pup! I am currently in a home with other foster dogs and a cat. I am very well socialized with all sizes of dogs. I do great with crate training, but my fosters use a Xpen so that I can be with my siblings. I do well with potty training, but I will have to be reminded about it all in a new home. I love playing with other dogs and don't get too rough when I do. I would love a home with lots of room to run or lots of activity. Right now, he is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring him to their new family, once they are adopted! Hi my name is Maverick.  I am an 8 month old Beagle Tree Walker Coonhound mix who weighs about 50 lbs.  I am currently living in rural middle Tennessee and am 'sort of' in trouble with my family.  We previously lived in a neighborhood but recently moved out in the country.  I am a super sweet and very loving boy.  I love people and am great with other dogs.  BUT in our new home there are these white things that walk around on two legs.  I like them too.  They are fun to chase and I got it trouble for that.  'STOP CHASING THE CHICKENS' is what I heard when I knew I was in trouble.  For that reason I need to find a new home.   I am sorry but I can't help it.  After all I am a mix of two hunting dogs.  I am ready to pack my bags.  Hopefully that will be to your house.  I am looking for an active home with another big young dog so that I have someone to play with.  I also need a fenced in yard so I don't get in any more trouble.  I currently live with a toddler and am very patient with her.  So you don't have to worry about that.  If you are looking for a big, goofy boy who will love you to pieces and give you plenty of kisses, then you have found him.  I am current on all my shots, neutered and microchipped.  I am ready to travel to my forever home.  To be considered for Maverick's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne directly at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Maverick is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)October 2, 2023, 8:46 pm
