Despite a challenging past, my heart is filled with love, and I'm ready to share it with a family who will cherish me. My Story: My journey hasn't been easy. I was once used for breeding by heartless individuals who cared more about profit than my well-being. Thankfully, vigilant neighbours reported the backyard breeder to the city. In a desperate attempt to avoid charges, the breeder callously disposed of my precious puppies in a garbage bin before the authorities arrived. When the city discovered this heartbreaking scene, none of my puppies had survived. The city, recognizing the injustice I had endured, took me under their care. Eventually, a compassionate rescue stepped in, offering me a second chance at a life filled with love, care, and kindness. Favorites: Loves Humans: My heart craves human company. Story

Riley is a sweet, gentle, kind, and goofy boy. His breed is English Setter and is about 6 years old.  He lived happily on a rescue property with the owners and their other dogs. Riley and his doggy family were only surrendered due to his family's life situation.  He's been slow to decompress with the foster parents and shut down. Despite his initial fear and constant trembling, he has slowly built-up trust.  He now loves to be near his people.  He especially enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches.  As of yet he is not really interested in indoor/outdoor toys or brain puzzles.  He trembles when he sees new people but will allow gentle pets.   Riley is quiet and enjoys sleeping on the sofa next to his foster family during the day.  He sleeps at night next to the bed.  He occasionally jumps on the bed while his foster parents are sleeping.  When he first arrived, he hid behind the family room sofa and would rarely come out.  After just 2 weeks, he stopped hiding.  When Riley feels a bit overwhelmed, he goes up to the landing or back to the bedroom and rests there.  His worst fears are being outside.  He trembles when he hears the leash but with gentle coaxing, he will go out to do his business.  As soon as he is done, he turns arounds and heads home.  I honestly believe he will enjoy walks again, once he finds himself in his forever home.  When Riley encounters dogs, he initially boops noses and then becomes indifferent and continues on his walk.  In the home, he again boops noses with any visitor dogs and then goes up one level and watches everyone from there.  He will come down every once in a while, to check things out, and then separates himself, once more. He is a very special boy showing no aggression, despite his fears.  He would be the perfect pet for an older family with lots of patience.  At this time, it would be better for Riley not to be around young children.  Riley needs the time to adjust to this huge change in his life, in his own way.  If given the approval to be himself, Riley would provide so much love and happiness to everyone and everything around him. He needs a house with a fenced in backyard, he can't live in an apartment b/c elevators, all the new people and stress of getting from A to B would be too much for him.  More about Riley &#239&#130&#183  Good with dogs &#239&#130&#183  Reaction to new people: Nervous but gentle &#239&#130&#183  Housetrained. They expected her to stay small but when Pyeongang grew big, they kept her outside on a very short leash to fend herself. Since being rescued, she has been living with a foster family but recently, she was moved to a professional training facility where she is learning to become a perfect member of the family and a companion. Her bright and cheerful personality shines! She loves being with people and chasing her balls or other toys. Her charm makes people instantly fall in love with her. ❤ Name: Pyeongang ❤ Age: 5 years ❤ Gender: Female ❤ Weight: 50 Lbs. ❤ Breed: Golden Retriever ❤ Vaccinated/Neutered: Up to date on all vaccinations, Spayed and Microchipped ✅ Relationship with Adults: Very Good! Background: Waffles has had quite the journey before finding his way to us. Originally living on the streets of Turkey, he was picked up by the municipal shelter, where life was tough and uncertain. Fortunately, kind-hearted volunteers intervened, rescuing him from the shelter's grim fate. Despite being released back onto the streets, fate led him back to the shelter, where he was once again taken in. Eventually, a compassionate rescue organization in Istanbul learned about Waffles and provided him with the safety and care he deserves. He currently lives in the shelter of the rescue in Istanbul. Personality: Waffles is a charming and intelligent dog who has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone he meets. He's incredibly social, getting along well with both cats and dogs, and he absolutely adores people. With his handsome appearance and warm personality, Waffles is sure to bring joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to welcome him. My name is Joong bak and I am a playful Retriever mix, aged 3. Sadly, for most of my life, I had to wander here and there, and no one knows where I am from. However, as there is no such a law that lets me die, I met a kind chairman who helped find a place to stay and get fed. Now, I want to move forward finding my forever home and share my happy virus to my family. If I had to sum myself up in one word, it would be 'Energetic!' I find joy in every activity, especially when it involves human companions. There's always a reason to be happy, right? Welcoming people with open paws is my forte, and I thrive on the love I receive through cuddles and, of course, snacks. I'm a snuggle expert, though my excitement can sometimes get the best of me due to my limited experience with humans. Hence, a family ready to handle my high energy level is strongly recommended. While I'm friendly, a household with cats or young children might not be the best fit, as my exuberance tends to express itself through jumping. My friendliness is extended to my doggie friends too. I can share treats and toys with them, and love to smell out each other. Enjoying fresh atmosphere with committed physical activity with friends makes me blessed. Being aggressive or assertive will be the last words you can find from me. I carry no aggression and boast an innocent and pure mind, as noted by my handler. Of course, outdoor activities are my No.1 things to do. I prefer to do my business outside, and I need to consume sufficient energy with intensive exercise which is very Retriever thing.
