CURRENTLY IN VICTORIA, BC!!! Meet Denny — The Sweetest Golden Retriever Looking for His Forever Family!   Name: Denny Age: 4 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Golden Retriever Color: Gold Weight: 31 kg Height: 66 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Denny was rescued in February 2025 after being placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter. He stayed at a private shelter for several months and moved to his foster home in June. Since then, he has blossomed into the most affectionate, people-loving Golden boy.   ‍‍‍ Socialization with People Denny is an incredibly affectionate dog who loves everyone — familiar people and strangers alike. • He leans in for pets, rubs against people, and loves belly rubs. • He is excellent with children under 13 and is comfortable being lifted or handled gently. • Even with new people, he often rolls over to show his belly. • He enjoys being near people during downtime, though he prefers sleeping alone. • He can be very enthusiastic — sometimes running in for hugs or kisses, which can surprise those not used to big friendly dogs! • No issues with baths, paw cleaning, or handling. He tolerates teeth brushing but isn’t a fan.   Socialization with Dogs Denny is friendly and polite with other dogs. • He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and play. • He matches well with medium to large dogs and enjoys playful interactions.   With Cats • He watches cats with curiosity outdoors, but when guided by his handler, he follows direction well and continues walking. (He may be suitable for a cat home with proper introductions.)   Energy Level • At first glance he seems high-energy, but his stamina is moderate. • After 3–4 hours of outdoor activity, he often falls asleep as soon as he gets in the car. • During play with dog friends, he starts energetic but will bark to set boundaries when he becomes tired or overstimulated.   ‍ Walks & Outdoor Behavior Denny is a joy to walk. • He has plenty of leash experience and doesn’t pull. • He loves sniffing and will naturally slow down or stop to explore scents. • He becomes excited when he sees the leash — may jump or mouth the leash — so calming him before leaving the house is important. • He loves balls and toys; he can even find hidden balls in grass and often brings home any he discovers during walks!   Other Behaviors • No resource guarding toward people or dogs. • Rarely barks. • Calm in a crate and knows how to get in/out of the car by himself. • Sometimes refuses to get in the car after walks because he wants to stay outside longer. • Mostly potty-trained outdoors. • If he has stomach discomfort early in the morning, he will wake his person up to go outside — letting him out promptly helps prevent indoor accidents. • Occasionally gets soft stool after eating too many treats.   Denny Is Looking For… A family who loves Golden Retrievers’ affectionate, goofy, people-loving personality. Someone who enjoys outdoor activities, understands his excitement around walks, and can provide structure, companionship, and lots of love.   If you think Denny could be the perfect match for you, please submit an adoption application! Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Connie Age: 7 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Golden Retriever Color: Brown Weight: 23kg / 50.7lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  My previous owner went through difficult circumstances and, sadly, could no longer care for me. During that time, I wasn’t given the love and attention I deserved. Thankfully, kind-hearted people stepped in and rescued me just in time. Now I’m safe, cared for, and ready for a fresh start. I’m looking for a forever family who will cherish me, love me unconditionally, and walk by my side for the rest of my life. I promise to give my whole heart in return.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a super friendly girl who absolutely thrives on human attention and loves soaking up pets and affection! Even though I had a sad start and was neglected due to unfortunate circumstances, I didn’t let that dim my loving spirit. I’m incredibly trusting of people and truly adore being around my humans. I love playing with toys, get along wonderfully with my dog friends, and bring that classic happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever energy wherever I go. I’m all heart, sunshine, and tail wags!    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I’m incredibly friendly with people and absolutely adore receiving affection and pets! I’ll happily trot right up to you for cuddles, and once I feel comfortable, I love showing my belly for extra rubs. I allow myself to be picked up and truly enjoy being held close. One of my favorite things in the world is sleeping beside you in bed—I just love being near my person! I can get a little sad when you’re out of sight because I bond very deeply with my family. When I love, I love with my whole heart. · With Dogs: I’m great with my dog friends too! I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I don’t rush straight into play—I like to take my time and do my own thing first. I get along well with my buddies at the care facility and tend to feel most comfortable around smaller dogs. I’m a calm, easygoing girl who prefers peaceful friendships over rough-and-tumble chaos.  · With Cats: My full reaction to cats is still unknown, but during walks I simply look at them with a bit of curiosity and then quickly refocus on my handler. I don’t fixate and happily continue on my way. A proper cat test can be arranged upon request to make sure it’s the perfect match for everyone.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a lovely moderate energy level — I enjoy playing with my toys, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time outdoors exploring. After I’ve had my fun and walk time, I’m more than happy to curl up indoors for cozy snuggles and relaxation.    TRAINING & HABITS  I generally walk very well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. At the start of a walk, I might pull a little because I’m just so excited (who doesn’t love walk time?!), but I settle quickly and show great leash manners. Volunteers and staff often compliment what a good, bubbly girl I am. I love my toys and happily play without resource guarding. Because I bond deeply with my people, I may develop some separation anxiety once I’ve fully attached to my forever family. With continued guidance, structure, and reassurance, I’ll learn to feel confident and trust that you’ll always come back for me. I’m generally quiet but may bark a little when I want attention. I rest calmly in my kennel and potty both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors.     MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever    SPECIAL NOTES  I’ve been through some changes in my life, but I haven’t let that take away my loving heart. I bond very deeply with my people and truly thrive on human companionship — being close to you makes me feel safe and happy. Because of this, I may need a little patience and reassurance as I adjust to my forever home, especially when learning that you’ll always come back for me. I’m a loyal, affectionate girl who just wants to love and be loved in return. With stability, structure, and lots of cuddles, I’ll blossom into the most devoted companion you could ask for.   Connie's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2666594##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Ilbok Age: 2 years old (Born January 2023) Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Golden Retriever Mix Color: Beige Current Weight: 18 kg My Personality Hey there! I'm Ilbok, a fun-loving and affectionate boy who can't wait to find a family to share all my love with. I may be a little cautious at first, but once I trust you, I’ll show you just how sweet and friendly I can be! I adore people and am always excited to say hello. I’ll happily approach new faces and let you give me all the attention I crave. If you call me, I'll come running—I'm all about making connections! Although I’m friendly with humans, I do take a little time to warm up to other dogs. I can be a bit guarded initially, especially if another dog gets too close too fast, so it’s important to give me the space I need when meeting new pups. I’m just being cautious, but once I get to know you, I’m a great companion. I’ve got a heart full of potential and am ready to build friendships with the right dog pals. On My Walks Oh, how I love my walks! There’s nothing better than getting outside, feeling the breeze, and sniffing all the new scents in the world. I do like to pull on the leash a bit because I’m just so excited to explore! I’ll stop and sniff along the way, and if I see something exciting, I’ll want to check it out. But don’t worry, with a little training, I’ll get better at walking with you calmly by my side. I love the outdoors, and I promise we’ll have lots of fun together—whether it’s a stroll or a more energetic walk. Life At Home When I’m home, I’m the best companion you could ask for. I’m a curious boy who loves being around people, so I’ll probably follow you around, always wanting to know what’s going on. I’m very affectionate and enjoy being petted and loved. I’m also quite adaptable. I do my business indoor and outdoor. I might mark in new enviroment. I’m pretty well-behaved, and while I may show some excitement before meals or walks, I promise it’s just because I’m eager to have a good time with you. I don’t guard my food around people but with other dogs I am still learning. I’m still working on some manners, but I’m a fast learner and I know I’ll do great in a home that gives me the right guidance. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving, active family who will appreciate my playful energy and my affectionate nature. Here’s what I’d love in my forever home: Active Adventures: I’d love to be part of a family who enjoys outdoor activities. Whether it’s a long walk, a fun hike, or some playtime in the yard, I’m ready for action! Patience & Guidance: I’m still growing and learning, and I’d thrive in a home where I can continue developing my skills and building my confidence with positive reinforcement. Companionship: I’m social and love being around people, so I’d prefer a home where I’m not left alone for long periods. I thrive when I’m part of the family. Dog-Free: I’d do best as the only dog in the home. Last Message If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will always be excited to share his love and enjoy the world with you, I might be your perfect match! I can’t wait to meet you and start our next adventure together.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Ilbok's YouTube Playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwkBxxdtpKRWMXKSXQmWH07&si=PpQFB7u8W9at7g-e ##2458103##
