Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Shinsa Age: 1 year and a half Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Golden Retriever, Corgi mix Color: Golden Weight: 15 kg / 33 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list. Through no fault of my own, I was running out of time and my future was uncertain. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance I desperately needed. Those scary days are behind me now, and I’m ready to look toward a much brighter future. All I’m missing is a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and love me as a true member of the family for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY My name means “gentleman” in Korean, and everyone says it fits me perfectly! I’m somehow even cuter in person, with soft golden fur, an adorable face that reminds people of a Golden Retriever, and short little legs like a Corgi. Staff and volunteers compliment me every day on what a sweet and lovable boy I am. With my friendly, easygoing personality, everyone believes I’ll adjust beautifully to life with my forever family and quickly become a cherished part of the home. I also absolutely love being brushed, which is perfect because my fluffy coat can get a little tangled from time to time. Regular brushing will help keep my beautiful golden fur soft and healthy, and for me, it’s just another opportunity to enjoy some quality time and affection with my favorite people!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a friendly and affectionate boy who loves being around people and happily soaks up all the pets and attention I can get. Once I feel comfortable with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly for some extra love! I’m also comfortable being picked up and held, making it easy to keep me close whenever we’re enjoying some quality time together. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I prefer to take things at my own pace rather than jumping straight into play. I’m more of an independent boy who enjoys doing my own thing, and I get along well with my dog friends at the care facility. I tend to prefer calm, respectful companions and usually keep my distance from super high energy dogs. Even if another dog gets a little pushy, I’d much rather calmly walk away than get involved in any conflict. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an easy and enjoyable walking companion. I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals from either people or other dogs. I’m also a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I can go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors, although I naturally prefer doing my business outside and will do my best to hold it until I get outdoors. Overall, I’m a sweet, gentle, and well mannered boy who already has so many wonderful qualities to bring to my future family.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a true little gentleman, just like my name suggests! With my soft golden fur, sweet personality, and adorable short legs, volunteers and staff say I’m even more charming in person. I’m friendly and affectionate with people, peaceful with my dog friends, and happiest enjoying life at a calm and comfortable pace. I already have so many wonderful qualities for home life. I walk nicely on leash, rarely bark, settle calmly in my kennel, and have great manners around food. I also love being brushed, which is perfect for keeping my fluffy coat soft and tangle-free. With my gentle nature and easygoing personality, I’m ready to settle into my forever home and become someone’s very loved little gentleman.   SHINSA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2826202##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Benji Age: About 10 Months Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Golden Retriever Color: Beige Weight: 30kg / 66lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was one of a litter of puppies born to a Golden Retriever in a rural area of Korea. When there were plans to send me away to an uncertain future, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, knowing how vulnerable Golden Retrievers can be in Korea. Thanks to that kindness, I was given a second chance, and now I’m looking forward to beginning a brighter chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Benji! I’m a handsome Golden Retriever with a wonderfully sweet and gentle personality—and I still have plenty of that lovable puppy spirit in me. I’m curious, friendly, and full of youthful charm, with a personality that makes it easy to enjoy having me around. I’m very interested in other dogs and love the idea of making friends and playing with them! That puppy-like enthusiasm definitely still comes through when I’m around potential playmates! I’m a social boy who enjoys having fun! I like toys too, but if I have to choose between a toy and a person, people win! Human companionship is especially important to me, and being around people is one of my favorite things. I’ve already got a great start on my training. I know basic cues such as “sit” and “paw,” and I’m also comfortable with a kennel. I’m still young and have some puppyish-ness left, so continuing to reinforce my training and manners will help me grow into an even more wonderful companion. I’d love a family who enjoys the affectionate, playful nature of a young Golden Retriever and is excited to include me in everyday life. With my gentle temperament, love for people, interest in dog friends, and solid training foundation, I have so much to offer. My rescuers think the family who gets to call me their own will be very lucky—and I’m hoping I’ll feel just as lucky to have found them.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, whether we’ve met before or not. I’m happy to approach new people, lean in for affection, and let them pet me with ease. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally get along well with dogs around my own size as well as smaller dogs. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown but when I see a cat while out on a walk, I may stop and watch with curiosity, but I’m easy to redirect and will follow along when my person guides me away.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy getting outside for some activity, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I can pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and am responsive to their guidance on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I may use a little demand barking when there’s something I want, but otherwise I’m comfortable settling into my routine. I generally prefer to do my business outdoors, and since I’m a boy, I may mark when I’m in a new environment.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES When I’m in a new environment, I may mark as I get familiar with my surroundings, but with a consistent routine and time to settle in, I can become more comfortable in my new space.    ADOPTION INFORMATION  • Adoption Fee: $1,050 CAD    BENJI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2818193##
