Hello beautiful -- Introducing Lisa! Lisa is one of the sweet girls from our shelter pull this weekend. She was surrendered by her owner to Harris County, though we don’t know the reason why. We do know one thing though…this mama has clearly had puppies recently, but sadly they were not turned in with her.   Even though Lisa has only been with us a short time, she has already shown us just how gentle, calm, and loving she is. She’s the kind of dog who just melts into you. Lisa gets along well with other dogs and so far seems more like a laid back girl than a rough-and-tumble player, but as she settles in and gets more comfortable, we are already seeing her personality bloom. Watching her start wagging her tail and open up has been so special    We would absolutely love to get Lisa into a foster home soon so she can finally relax and know what it feels like to be truly loved. Sweet Jasmine’s story is one we wish we didn’t hear so often. She found herself at Harris County Pets and eventually landed on the long-stay list, meaning her time was running out. We had our eyes on her during our shelter pull, but with so many lives to save and not enough hours in the day, we weren’t able to meet her before leaving.   But we couldn’t stop thinking about her.   So first thing Sunday morning, we went right back. We had a feeling we were going to love her, but we wanted to make sure she was the wonderful girl we hoped she’d be. We temperament tested her with another dog we were planning to save, and Jasmine passed with flying colors. No surprise there! This beautiful girl is all about her people. She wants to be as close to you as possible—preferably in your lap soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She has the sweetest soul and the kind of gentle affection that makes you fall in love instantly. Jasmine is dog-friendly, but she seems more interested in cuddles than playtime, so a home with a calmer canine companion would likely be her perfect match. She’s settling in beautifully, soaking up the safety and kindness she deserves, and she’s clearly relieved to know her shelter days are behind her. Now all Jasmine needs is a foster or forever family to complete her happy ending. Could that be you? Violet is 4yrd old, very sweet and a cuddler. Not a guard dog at all. She does like to run and play on the golf course when she plays Houdini and climbs the fence. She plays very well with other dogs and cats. Violet's special need is her anxiety. She can smell rain from miles away and she begins to get restless. Pending on the weather, she will hide wherever she can. This could be under a bed, in your lap, in a closet. Violet does have anxiety medication and cannot be in a cage as she will get hurt more in a cage than being out in the house. Violet will sleep right next to your bed or right outside your bedroom door, so watch where you step or you will be the one to fall in the night. Violet is not a fan of water. She hates being sprayed with the water hose, will not willinging get in the kiddy pool just to cool off and play, baths have to be bribed with treats. You can say the word treat and she is running to you or she steals them if they are kept low. Snacks on her kibble forever.

Hello, We have had Denzel for 3 years, but needing to rehome him because I am having twins. I currently have a 8 month old baby and the twins arrive in November. That’s 3 babies in one year! We love Denzel and want him to go to a home where he will have more attention. He is a sweet boy and needs more attention than we can give. He loves pets and cuddling. He also likes playing fetch. He is used to being indoors and when being monitored he will not potty in the house. He also will not use the potty in his cage. He is used to being in his crate while we go to work and we never come home to an accident. Very gentle and loving dog. Loves going on walks and good on leash. Never had a biting incident with him.
