Meet S’mores!This 33lb, 3-year-old, Mini Aussie Shepherd was picked up running in the street and brought to the shelter, and while the busy, loud environment has her feeling a little nervous, her sweet personality shines through almost immediately. She may start off timid, but she warms up quickly once she knows she’s safe—and then her friendly, affectionate side comes out.She loves to play with stuffies, is very treat-motivated, and happily engages with people who offer a gentle approach (and snacks!). S’mores has also shown interest in a couple of other dogs, suggesting she could enjoy a canine friend with the right introductions.With a calmer home, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement, S’mores is sure to blossom into a loving, playful companion. She’s just waiting for someone to give her the chance.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@johnsoncounty.in.gov for an application.
