Story
Cheese Borger is every bit as delightful as her name suggests. At just 11 months old, she`s a bundle of happy energy who bounces through life with the enthusiasm of a puppy discovering the world. One minute she`s racing around with the zoomies, the next she`s nudging her head under your hand to ask for more pets or covering you in kisses. She`s playful, affectionate, and has the kind of joyful spirit that`s impossible not to smile about. One volunteer compared her to a squirrel or a little torpedo, and once you see her in action, you`ll understand exactly why. Like many young dogs, Cheese Borger can be a little unsure in new situations, but kindness, treats, and affection help her feel right at home. She`s eager to connect with people and has an adorable habit of gently mouthing hands during play without applying any pressure. She appears to be in good overall health, though she is being treated for fleas, has slightly overgrown nails, and a distended abdomen that should continue to be monitored. Cheese Borger is ready to bring laughter, love, and plenty of puppy antics to the lucky family that gives this sweet girl a place to call home. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet

Story
Freeze is a young border collie mix around 2 years old and 35lbs. She is happy to coexist with other dogs and seems to be best suited for a laid back dog that’s larger than she is. She would also thrive in a home as a solo companion with her person. Freeze is potty trained, crate trained, and overall a well mannered girl. Shes shy with new people, but does warm up pretty easily once in a comfortable space. She enjoys walks and playing fetch with her person.Freeze is fully vetted and ready to find her new home! Story
Meet handsome Copper, a striking 5-year-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! After the sad loss of his owner, Copper was surrendered to a shelter. He’s now safe in a Misty Eyes foster home while he waits for a loving forever family to call his own. Weighing 52 pounds, Copper is believed to be an Irish Setter / Border Collie mix — a combination that often brings together intelligence, athleticism, and enthusiasm. True to his heritage, Copper is friendly, outgoing, and full of energy. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those close to his size, and would thrive with an active family. He is somewhat anxious and becomes distressed with too much activity in the home. He would do best in a quiet home without a great many visitors and noise, but with owners able to provide the physical and mental stimulation he needs. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy, hiking companion, or adventure partner, Copper may be the perfect match for you. If you’re ready to give this wonderful boy the fresh start he deserves, please submit an adoption application online at: https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Hudson came to us last October after an adopter failed to show at the end of a transport. After living for years in a home with domestic abuse, he needed time to decompress and rebuild trust. With patience and structure, Hudson has made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence. Hudson is very dog friendly and lives comfortably with our pack. A home with another stable dog would be ideal for him. He has not been tested with cats. Hudson will do best in a quiet adult home with no children and a predictable routine. Because he is a Blue Heeler, experience with heelers or other herding breeds is required. He is a loyal, intelligent dog who will thrive with the right person and environment. • 8 yr old male Blue Heeler • Dog friendly • No kids • Not cat tested • Herding breed experience required
