This handsome boy has a big heart, a loyal nature, and a bright future ahead of him.Thor originally struggled with resource guarding and attachment-based behaviors.– Resource guarding means he may feel the need to protect items he values (like toys or food).– Attachment-based behavior means he bonds strongly to “his person” and can become anxious or protective in certain situations.Our team has been working closely with Thor, and he has made amazing progress. He is young, eager to learn, and very responsive to training. To set him up for success, we recommend a home with no small children or a single, committed adopter who can continue building his confidence and consistency. Ongoing training will help Thor continue thriving.Thor walks beautifully on a leash, knows basic commands, and loves staying close to his person. He is sweet, affectionate, and truly wants to please. Meet WONDERFUL! Wonderful is a gorgeous 8 month old, 45 pound, tricolored (black, white and brown) English Shepherd/Hound mix. Her freckled nose, sleek lanky frame, rich black and very white coat, and thick black tail with its white tip add to her beautiful looks. She is very sweet and lovable and is crate trained. While Wonderful has puppy playfulness, she settles down to cuddle with you and hang out. She does fine with other dogs and people of all ages! Wonderful loves to go for walks! She will need exercise, patience and reinforcement of basic training so this young smart dog can become the well-behaved dog she can be. Wonderful ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter, and we can only imagine how she wondered why her family did not come find her and take her home. She is so happy that PetConnect has come to her rescue and brought her to the DC area to find a forever family that will give her the attention that she deserves. Wonderful would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cool spring night!
