Story
Jesse is a beautiful sweet border collie. She is apart of our family. Great with our kids and we have another dog she loves. Kind of on the timid side but once she gets acclimated is so sweet. Just wants love. She has never been trained with cows but has the herding instinct for sure. The ONLY reason we are looking for a new home is when we got her we lived on acreage. However a recent move brought us to the city. She no longer has the acreage to run like she needs. she loves to explore and run a perimeter. City life is not conducive to that. She is housebroke but would stay outside forever if you would let her. We want a great place for our girl to go to.

Story
Behaviors- Shy & timid since he is still learning to trust people and to be a dog. Quiet, sweet, & gentle. Cats: Great Other dogs: Great Children: Great Adults: Great Potty Training Progress: He does well on a consistent schedule. His foster takes him out every 3-4 hours during the day. Crate trained: He finds his crate to be his safe place. He sleeps in his crate at night and has not had any accidents. Other behavioral info: Still very shy and timid, tries to hide in couch cushions or behind furniture unless you’re holding him. He opens up with dogs but is still scared of people. If you hold and snuggle him, he is fine. Springsteen will need A LOT of love and patience. He is the sweetest little dog, and he hasn’t made a single sound since coming into foster. Foster still has to help him out of his crate when it’s time to potty, but he does well outside. Foster carries him outside because he is not leash trained and is too scared to walk out on his own. He MUST be kept on a leash even in fenced yard, as he will run and hide and may be hard to catch. Definitely a flight risk so a fenced yard will be required. Other than not understanding people yet, he is the softest, sweetest and most handsome little man. He has one brown eye and one blue eye. Springsteen is going to make an amazing dog; he just needs a lot of love and reassurance. He would also do great in a home with another canine sibling. Aussies are incredibly intelligent working dogs; he will thrive with future training and an active family with other canine siblings.

Story
Watch LadieBird live in action: https://www.swh.org/staff-favorites.htmlHello, I'm LadieBird! I'm a 2-year-old, 47lb Border Collie mix. I am quite the social butterfly with a playful and energetic spirit. I recently got to spend the day out of the shelter and go explore, and I had a BLAST! I went hiking and got to splash around in the creek. I followed directions and was a very good girl! I can't wait for my next adventure, and I'm hoping that's with a forever human. I've got a knack for making people laugh with my funny antics. I'm smart too - I've mastered house and crate training like a pro! I also do really well on car rides. My only preference is that my future household have no children or small pets. If you have another dog I would love to meet them before you take me home!
