Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Would you love an adorable, engaging yet quiet companion to keep you company all of your days? Look no further than Coco! Undeniably social, this 8 year old fellow loves to be near people and cat friends at all times. While he doesn't directly cuddle - he likes to keep close and he lets you know he cares with his big, inquisitive eyes. When you hop into bed or get cozy on the couch for a movie or a good book, he'll likely curl up right next to you. He also loves forehead scritches and gentle pets! While he isn't super cuddly with humans, he is very affectionate with cats. Coco seems to thrive with other cats and does need another friendly cat companion in his forever home. Adding to Coco's charm is his unique gait. He has some arthritis in his hind legs / hip area, and is doing really well on monthly injections. With treatment, his arthritis doesn't seem to cause him pain nor stop him from doing anything he wants to do! View a video of Coco here. He cruises around the house, up & down the stairs, and even gets the zoomies from time to time! Endearingly, the only noise he makes is the sound of his back feet lightly grazing the floor as he walks. It will be important that his adopter is committed to the maintenance of his arthritis with their veterinarian. (see video included for a look at his strut!) A cute quirk about Coco is his tendency to 'do the rounds' at his foster home. His foster family jokes that he's a mall cop on patrol as he will sometimes do a few leisurely rounds of the main level when they're sitting down for morning coffee. Also - sometimes he will suddenly flop over to his side to let you know he wants to play! A bright neon ribbon is his favorite! When Coco arrived to rescue, he had extreme, painful matting on his back which had to be shaved off. His fur is growing back now and he's doing great! Coco is currently with his foster family in Minneapolis, and would love to meet you. Coco is from a local shelter.
