Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   Chrysanthemum is a 3 month old Italian Greyhound mix who is looking for a home excited to see her bloom! Chrysanthemum was only two days old when she came into our rescue with her Mama who has since been adopted. We don’t know who dad was, but we know he passed his cute genes along to the girls. Chrysanthemum and her sister Peach have grown up into adorable puppies who are now excited to find their paw-fect forever homes! We expect these puppies will be in the 6-8 pound range when fully grown, as Mama is pretty petite herself. Looking for a springtime blossom? Look no further than Chrysanthemum!     Chrysanthemum has blossomed into a sassy, silly, adorable, and loving girl in the time she has been with us. She is adorably playful and has such a unique personality. She knows just how cute she is and she knows how to work her cuteness to her advantage when the treats come out. She constantly shows off her silly side as she drags big toys around, playing keepaway from her sister, before she tumbles over with a big “oof”. But then she’s right back up again with a smile on her face and a wag in her tail. It’s been such a treat watching her personality grow by leaps and bounds as she’s grown into an adorable gal. This girl has so much personality it’s almost impossible for her to keep it all inside her little body. What more could you ask for?  The puppies wake up around 7:30 and eat breakfast while their pen is being cleaned. Only the finest for our princess puppies! During the day, the puppies alternate between playing, eating, cuddling, and napping on top of each other. They love their soft dog bed and they love dragging their ever-expanding collection of toys around their pen. They have also decided they are WFH pros and will try to scamper across the keyboard of their foster mom when she isn’t looking. They have dinner at 7 PM and then spend a few hours playing with their neighbor who adores getting his energy out with these amazing puppies. They head to bed at 10 PM and snuggle together as they dream of adventures ahead.   Chrysanthemum has been socialized with the neighborhood dogs and loves her playtime. She would be a fantastic addition to a home with a resident dog who wants a playmate or as a solo dog to head out on adventures with. Peach would love heading out to puppy school with her new people, and we will be looking for homes who are prepared for all that comes with puppy rearing. If you’re looking for a floral addition to your home, you’ve met your match with sweet Chrysanthemum!    Chrysanthemum is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. We will be looking for separate homes for each puppy as we do not place siblings together. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9.May 1, 2024, 12:52 pm

Selena was rescued from the shelter with her sister, Sabrina, after they were left behind by a moving family. We will be looking for separate homes for each of these singing superstars as we do not place siblings together. We expect Selena to end up in the 12-15 pound range when she reaches her adult size. Book Selena for a permanent residency at your forever home and adopt this gal today! Hurry, tickets are going fast.    Selena is a confident and courageous gal who has the spirit of adventure and a heart of gold. Selena is curious and affectionate, just as happy to follow her sister around on adventures as she is to curl up in your lap for a long cuddle and nap. Even when Selena gets puppy zoomies, she still has a gentleness that is adorable and unlike most puppies. Selena loves being near her people, and loves sleeping on any surface she can find. She adores toys of all shapes and sizes, and true to her puppy nature she will run after just about any toy. Her favorite toy is whatever you are holding. If you walk up to Selena, you are equally as likely to see her wag her tail for a game of fetch as you are to see her roll onto her belly for some rubs. She loves playing and wrestling with her sister and would adore a canine companion in her forever home. Selena is such a sweet little angel who is the perfect mix of fun and chill according to her foster Mama.  The girls start their day at 7 AM after sleeping through the night in a pen. They keep themselves occupied until their foster family is ready to start the day with their toys. They go outside to practice going potty before they come inside for breakfast. After breakfast they go back outside for some romping and playing before they take a long nap. Around noon, they get some playtime and cuddles during their foster parents lunch break before they head back to their pen for a bit. In the late afternoon, the puppies once again get a chance to practice pottying outside and then explore the yard. They love discovering new hiding places. In the evening, the girls have dinner before they get some socialization and playtime in the living room. Once their foster family finishes their workday, they settle down on the couch for some snuggles. The girls head to their pen for the night at 10 PM.  Selena gets along well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She is curious about the resident cat but not aggressive. Selena is curious when she is held on neighborhood walks and loves meeting new people. She is very smart and will thrive in puppy school. If you are the competitive type, you will beat all the other puppies at training! Selena would love a home where she is adored and showers her in love and toys. She is incredibly adorable and sweet, with the best happy-go-lucky attitude. We know she will make your life complete!    Selena is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.May 1, 2024, 12:52 pm
