Story
Meet Bruno – Tiny Body, Big Heart     Bruno is a 6-pound Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest soul and the most devoted little heart. At just 3½ years old, this tiny gentleman found himself surrendered when his owner could no longer keep him. Despite the change, Bruno has adjusted beautifully and is ready to find his forever person.   Bruno is:   Crate trained Housebroken and pee pad trained Great on leash Not destructive (no chewing or digging!) Completely indifferent to cats Not food aggressive Easy to medicate (tiny pills tucked in chicken work perfectly!)     He’s a classic Italian Greyhound mix — a little sensitive at first, but deeply bonded once he trusts you. Bruno is extremely attached to his humans and would happily spend most of his day curled up in your lap. He does have a bit of lap possessiveness around other dogs, but it’s all talk — no nipping or concerning behavior. In fact, he has done well with other dogs overall and even handled visits from a large Golden Retriever, though he preferred the safety of being held.   He’s not a big barker, but he is a “talker.” His excited chatter can sound like growling, but it’s simply his quirky way of expressing himself.     Medical     Bruno is neutered and currently on seizure medication. He has had three seizures in his lifetime and is doing well on his prescribed treatment. He takes medication three times daily, so he will need a home where someone is present and consistent — ideally a work-from-home adopter or a young retiree. He will need a veterinary relationship for ongoing bloodwork, vaccines, and prescription refills. He currently has about 40 days of medication on hand.     Ideal Home     Bruno would thrive:   As an only dog, or with one friendly small dog In an apartment or townhome (thanks to pee pad skills) With someone home most of the day In a calm, stable environment     He enjoys a yard and walks but is perfectly manageable in smaller living spaces. He’s currently on sensitive stomach kibble and doing well.   Bruno is a loyal, loving little companion who simply wants to be close to his person. If you’re looking for a devoted lap dog with a gentle heart and a tiny frame, Bruno may be your perfect match.   Currently in Sacramento Apply through Günter’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc. to meet Bruno.   ##2656109##
