I'm Sunny, a female 4-year-old Shetland Sheepdog mix. My journey has been a bit tough, having once been neglected while tied up tightly, playing the role of a guardian at a factory. I absolutely adore people and have a friendly, affectionate nature. Even with strangers, I'll nuzzle up, asking for some gentle pets. I'm great with kids, too! However, I must admit, I get a tad jealous around other dogs, and I might be growl to them during mealtime. That's why I think a home where I can be the only furry friend would be best. With a high energy level, I thrive on outdoor activities. A good run around the yard will keep me calm and content. I do pull on the leash during walks, but with some patient guidance, I'm sure I can learn to be a well-behaved walker. Rescued from a challenging past, I'm now seeking a family who can provide the love and attention I deserve. If you're ready for a loyal companion who will brighten your days, look no further. Animal Profile: Ziggy is a 5 year old, 55lb Bearded Collie mix that was adopted from another rescue in 2019. Ziggy was originally from Mexico, and quickly displayed some behaviors that were hard to manage in a Queen Anne apartment. His adopter was committed to his training, and Ziggy's adoption includes take home training sessions with Cortney Monson. Ziggy's obedience is on point, but a life outside the city would be less stressful for him. His owner is committed to finding him his perfect match, and so are we! Foster Update: Ziggy is house trained, crate trained, and knows all his obedience including: sit, down, place, heel, and off leash recall. Ziggy is dog friendly but can be leash reactive. Ziggy is friendly with people and other dogs with proper introduction, but close quarters and off leash dog encounters are happening often enough in the city that he is frustrated. Ziggy's is looking for his ideal home: a single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard outside the city. He has been boarded in a home with dog savvy cats but has not lived with them consistently. Ziggy loves to go on adventures, has great car manners, and is an easy going housemate. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration.
