Story
Yogi was rescued off the street about 4 1/2 years ago. He is approximately five years old. Yogi is playful, energetic, enjoys walks, and loves riding in the car, as well as accompanying trips to stores where he becomes the center of attention. He is a wonderful companion, and when he is ready to rest, he is a great cuddler. Yogi gets along wonderfully with people and has never shown any aggression towards people. Unfortunately, he needs re-homing due to recent instances with other dogs in his household. Although rare, it has occurred. We do not believe there is anything malicious in him, but his size makes this a potentially dangerous situation. Therefore, he cannot be placed in a home with other pets. Nevertheless, Yogi is a wonderful dog and would make a great single-pet companion for a person or family. He has had regular vet visits and is up-to-date on all shots. Yogi is smart, and while he has learned basic commands, he is highly trainable and eager to learn.

Blitz is a 75 lb bully mix who came to us as a stray on 11/21, and he’s full of personality and energy. He can start off sitting quietly with a wagging tail, but once he’s engaged, his playful, enthusiastic side really shines.Blitz is a high-energy, overly playful dog who loves interaction—sometimes a little too much. He gets very excited around people and dogs, often jumping, pawing, and pulling strongly on the leash. In playgroup, Blitz showed pushy play and had a hard time listening to other dogs’ corrections, so he was given his own yard to help everyone stay comfortable and safe.Because of his size, strength, and excitement level, Blitz will need an experienced adopter who is comfortable with large, energetic dogs and is committed to continuing his training. He would benefit greatly from consistent structure and clear boundaries to help him learn appropriate manners and focus.Blitz has a lot of love to give and plenty of energy to burn. With the right guidance, training, and outlet for his enthusiasm, he has the potential to become an amazing companion for someone ready for an active, hands-on dog.
