Rescued from a challenging hoarding situation in the summer of 2020, where she lived alongside 27+ other dogs and experienced limited individual attention, Arwen is learning what it means to feel safe and secure in her foster home. While her past has understandably made her cautious and timid around people, she finds comfort and companionship in the company of other dogs. Arwen is seeking a patient and understanding forever home that offers a calm and predictable environment. She will thrive in a home where her adopters appreciate that she needs space and will honestly never fully come out of her shell. Somewhere she isn't pressured into constant human interaction and is allowed to just be present and live life her way. A home with other dogs would be particularly beneficial for Arwen and is an absolute MUST, as she thrives with her canine companions. 💖 Meet Remi — the 3-year-old, 85 lb sweetheart who has stolen the hearts of everyone at SNARL! 🐾 For over a year, Remi has patiently waited for her forever home, watching other dogs find theirs while she remains overlooked. She came to us as a puppy, found a home, and was returned through no fault of her own. Her foster family calls her “the best thing since sliced bread,” and it’s easy to see why! Remi is silly, affectionate, and beautiful. She loves zoomies, snuggling up for cuddles, and showers her humans with the sweetest kisses. She’s crate trained, potty trained, knows her manners, and is ready to bring joy to her forever family. She’s a volunteer favorite and is great with kids (over 8 years old), and would thrive as the only pup or with a playful, submissive dog her size. When cat-tested, she was non-reactive, but adopters with cats should take precautions until they’re certain she can live safely with them. Remi is allergic to chicken, so her diet needs to reflect that.
