Location: Columbus, OH Food: Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: NexGard Plus; Diclofenac 1 drop in the right eye daily; Optixcare/eye lube pro to the right eye 3x daily Meet Lucci, a charming and handsome 5 year old, olde english bulldog. He has such a fun personality- loves a good snuggle, but also will stretch his legs to catch a toy (or chase a squirrel). He understands ‘no’, and listens pretty well. However, he can get a bit anxious when left alone in the house without his crate. Which basically means he’s looking for his forever family to keep him company. Lucci is a great with kids, but he can get a bit worked up when he hears loud noises, crying, or if kids are playing too rough. Knowing this, if his forever family has kiddos, they should be at least 5+. He’s honestly the best companion you could ever ask for. He’ll be your shadow and give you the best kisses. Lucci is permanently blind in his right eye. Because of this, he is required to have two types of eye drops which he takes like a champ. His eye doesn’t seem to bother him at all. When it comes to walking on a leash, he still thinks he is walking you at times. However, with practice, he’s improving every day. He’s also potty trained and crate trained. He is very very food motivated. His next family will need to be careful where you leave food, at least until he is a bit more comfortable. Right now, Lucci is the only dog at his foster home, but he’s done well with other dogs in the past. A decompression is still recommended, though. Lucci is a true gem, and I’m sure he’ll bring joy and love to your home. If you’re looking for the most handsomest, loving, loyal furry friend, he’s definitely worth checking out! ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Hi there!!!! The name`s Ace! I`m a spry, happy-go-lucky 1-year-old with LOADS of energy. My dream is to be a track star and win the gold medal- I`ve got big dreams! But, realistically, I would also love being a running buddy for my future humans. After a good run, I would love to play tug of war with my favorite toys, and maybe a bit of fetch too. Then we can do a training session. And THEN we can go on a hike- okay, am I exhausting you? Sorry, I`m just SO excited to make friends and do so many fun activities with you! When I do eventually exhaust all my energy, I do love curling up in my comfy bed and getting pets from my humans. I love treats too, especially peanut butter!I have lived with kids and done well. I have not lived with cats or other dogs. I like to play in group play with my other friends here at the SPCA Cincinnati. I am housebroken and can hold my potty for 8-12 hours at the maximum. I know some basic commands such as `sit` and `stay`, but I can be a stubborn and energetic guy, so sometimes I won`t always listen! When she`s not tearing across the yard, you can find her engaged in her favorite quirky hobby: chewing on and carrying around large rocks. After a long day of play, Ava transforms into a world-class snuggler and is happiest when cuddling up close. Ava is a sunshine dog through and through; she loves warm weather and avoids the cold. You`ll definitely want to bring her inside when the dark clouds roll in, as she absolutely hates getting rained on! She also loves treats of almost any kind, but as if she couldn`t get any quirkier, she does NOT like peanut butter! If you`re wondering what dog doesn`t like peanut butter, that would be Ava. She is a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime type of dog. Ava is a fantastic family dog who is great with kids of all ages. Ava has met other dogs in playgroup here at the shelter and has done well, but can be selective about her dog friends, mostly preferring dogs who give her space and time to warm up. Ava has some basic training, but may need a refresher after her time in the shelter and entering a new home. She is eager to please and has a lot of energy to spend!
