A volunteer will contact you within 1-2 days if application has been approved.

Meet the Pet

Depending on the situation, sometimes the a volunteer and the pet will come to your house. Others we will ask you to go to the foster home

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date with vaccines and have been microchipped.

About Rescue the Underdog

​Rescue the Underdog is small group of volunteers working in the San Francisco Bay Area. We rescue dogs that would otherwise be euthanized in high kill Central Valley shelters and bring them to the Bay Area where they are placed in loving, lasting homes.
