Rescue FAQs

The Charlie Project Dog Rescue is named after a jolly Pomeranian who was supposed to be a stud dog for a breeding facility who seemed to large for them at 10 lbs. He was lucky to be saved but from the time he was a pup he suffered with grade 4 Patellas, collapsed trachea, heart murmur etc These are inherited traits that good breeders would screen out, the business of mass breeding doesn't care. My goal is for every dog regardless of being an undesirable one, deserves a home

Additional adoption info

If you’re ready to adopt, fill out the Adoption Application completely. After reviewing your application, a volunteer will contact you for a phone interview. Not every dog is the best fit for every home. We strive to make the best match for you and our dogs. We reserve the right to a home visit prior to approval.

We will let you know whether you were approved for adoption via email. If approved, you and the foster home will schedule a meet and greet. Please be prepared to take your new companion home at the time of the meet and greet.

Our preferred method of payment is PayPal; we also accept Venmo, Zelle, cash or personal checks if agreed upon in advance.

Please consider us a lifelong resource for any questions or concerns you may have with your adopted dog.
