Rescue FAQs

At Waiting On A Friend Rescue, our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate animals, and ultimately find them forever homes. We believe that every animal deserves a chance at a happy life. We pull almost all of our animals from the ACCT in Philadelphia. They are one of the few open intake 24/7 shelter in the greater Philadelphia area. We work as a small organization with less than 5 employees. In our first year as a rescue we adopted out more animals than the Philadelphia SPCA and had over 100+ total adoptions. We strive to not only give these animals a excellent forever home but we strive to encourage to community to adopt and educate them on Breeding and the homeless animal crisis.
We serve bucks, Northampton, Lehigh, Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware. We serve any county about who is willing to adopt in the PA Area. We most closely work with Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties.
