All American Dachshund Rescue

All dogs are spayed/neutered/UTD on all shots/heartworm checked and treated if necessary and dental if necessary. You do have to fill out an online adoption application at www.allamericandachshundrescue.org and we will do a phone interview, check your references and vet and we WILL DO a homevisit no matter what state you are in. To adopt a dachshund you must either have a fenced in yard. These are hunters and if you allow them to run free they will NOT come back or will be hit by a car or attacked by another dog. When you adopt the dog you are giving a two week trail period and if you feel you need more time we are happy to give that to you if you will notify us. We also make you sign a contract that is a legal and binding contract. Once you put in a application to adopt one of our fosters we will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you have not heard from us in a week please e mail us as your app may have gotten lost. We also have the right to refuse to adopt to anyone that we feel would not make a good home for our Dachshunds. Please remember these dogs have been in at least 2-3 homes possible more and it could take the whole two weeks for them to adjust and possibly longer.
