The mission of the City of Grantville Animal Control officer is to enforce the state laws and city ordinances pertaining to animal control and management as well as educate the community in responsible pet ownership.
The primary goal of the animal control officer is the enforcement of city ordinances regarding the leash law, rabies inoculation, cruelty to animals and dogs running at large. The Animal Control Officer also maintains and operates the Grantville Animal Shelter. The shelter only intakes stray dogs and uses several rescue groups in hopes of finding these animals furrr-ever homes. Adoptions are case by case with approval and by appointment only. We are always looking for volunteers and fosters who want to make a difference in the lives of the animals in our community. Please inquire for more information.
