Rescue FAQs

Promise 4 Paws Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization focused around providing loving homes for dogs that have lost their homes or have maybe never experienced having a home. Promise 4 Paws is led by a group of people that have a sincere love for dogs and a passion to help in any manner possible. Everyone in our group started as a volunteer at the Council Bluffs Animal Shelter. As we walked, played and interacted with the dogs and helped potential adopters find the "right" fit, we couldn't help but wonder if there was something more we could do to help these animals. Prior to beginning Promise 4 Paws, each of us encountered our own rescue experiences finding loving homes for "unadoptable" dogs. As we talked about our struggles with our individual rescues, we came to realize that we can all work together to provide a better service to our dogs. Each Promise 4 Paws member has unique talents and resources that when combined create a complete rescue organization. Currently we are attempting to find forever homes for the dogs remaining in the shelter for months and deemed "un-adoptable" or hard to adopt whether its due to age, disability or any other prejudice. In our eyes, every dog is deserving of a loving home. As we evolve and grow, our goals will become more defined and expansive. Please join us on this journey to "save the world - one dog at a time."
