Rescue FAQs

We are a rescue that believe dogs are one of God's many wonderful creations and deserve a life with love and dignity. All of our rescued dogs are pulled from local shelters or are private surrenders. WE ARE 100% ANTI-PUPPY MILL, HOBBY BREEDER AND BACKYARD BREEDER. St. Michael's Canine Services 586-549-5515 Basic Training, Obedience, Behavior Specialist, Rehabilitation, Grooming, Dog Show Handling. VOLUNTEERS AND FOSTERS ALWAYS NEEDED Volunteers and fosters are always a blessing. A gentle touch, a kind smile, patience, a safe but temporary home are just some of the wish-list requests of Homes for Angels Dog Rescue. If you are just considering helping at an adoption event or you have made your mind up to follow your passion for helping dogs in need, please consider us as a starting point. We have many options for you to choose. Helping out in the rescue (fostering, home visits, doing background checks, walking a dog, or maybe a talent you have of your own that could benefit a rescued dog) ALL are welcomed. We are located in the Macomb County area. We only ask that you live within a reasonable distance so that your work can be appreciated and continued with our rescue. If you would like to ask for more info, please call Chris 586-563-4127 or email: homes4angels@yahoo.com
We serve all USA cities/states only.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with a short application that we email to you upon request. We are not a first-come-first-serve rescue. We have one particular dog that several great families are interested in. Please know we put our best efforts into searching for the best-fit for a family for that particular dog.

We meet, in person families that are interested in adopting one of our dogs. All questions get asked and answered by all parties. A trial period of one week is allowed if the family interested in our adoptee. If the dog works in the environment that might become a permanent home, an adoption can take place. An application and a contract signed are required. A health certificate is presented to the new family. Micro chipping is registered by the rescue. Adoption fees are $220.00 and a tax write off for the adopter.

We are a 501(c)3 100% not-for-profit dog rescue. All adoption fees, monetary donations and items are a tax write off for the donor.
