Rescue FAQs

We started this organization to fill a need. Animals are being euthanized in astonishing numbers across the country simply due to overcrowding of shelters. It's heartbreaking! Our main focus is to pull these animals out of these high-kill facilities and place them in loving forever homes. We have several local fosters that are willing to provide temporary TLC for these pets while they are waiting for their "forever humans" to come along! We are also passionate about community education in areas of need. The pet overpopulation problem rests solely on the shoulders of humans and that is why more focus needs to be placed on educating people and making them more aware of the issue. We want to give as many animals as possible the chance they deserve, so that is why we founded Happy Landings Animal Rescue.
Happy Landings Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization founded by Amanda and Robert in Fort Collins, CO, now based in Texas. We aim to find loving forever homes across the country for homeless pets at risk of euthanasia and serve as a networking source for animals in need.
