Rescue FAQs

With over fifteen years combined experience in animal welfare and advocacy, we came together during the summer of 2013 after seeing a noticeable need for a companion animal rescue that not only rescued homeless animals, but that also worked with local organizations whose residents were no longer able to keep their companions. Educating the public on animal behaviour and responsible pet ownership became another area of interest, which would help to improve human-animal relations. From this, the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society was formed. Our vision is simple: we are gearing towards a greater Edmonton where animals are treated with compassion and respect, and are cared for so no animal is left homeless.
