Rescue FAQs

Operating as an independent subsidiary of Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia, City of Elderly Love is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving and enriching the lives of adoptable senior pets in the Philadelphia area. Utilizing volunteer foster homes, City of Elderly Love aims to rescue these animals from potential euthanasia at area animal shelters as well as prevent older animals from entering the shelter-system in the first place, when possible. City of Elderly Love also provides palliative and hospice care when needed. Through creative marketing and community events, City of Elderly Love works to place its adoptable pets into loving adoptive homes. PA Kennel License 12930
City of Elderly Love is dedicated to saving Philly's senior pets.

Additional adoption info

All City of Elderly Love pets are vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered [unless otherwise noted] before going to their adoptive homes. An adoption questionnaire and contract are required prior to finalizing an adoption. Adoption fees are reasonable, but vary depending on animal type.
