We Love Chinese Cresteds Animal Rescue-Florida

WLCCAR's mission is to rescue, re-home and prevent the needless euthanization of healthy dogs due to overburdening of shelters and humane societies. We provide counseling to owners prior to surrendering, and provide shelters and discontinuing breeders an alternative to euthanization or surrendering their dogs to those same shelters and humane societies. We make a lifetime commitment to all the dogs that come into our care and have an active board of directors who are all committed to making a difference in the lives of these dogs and the people who rescue and adopt them. By working with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and other community resources and organizations, WLCCAR has the ability to rescue dozens of dogs every year and place them in environments that are suitable for their behavioral, physical and psychological needs. Rescue and Adoption: We take in Chinese Crested dogs of all ages that have been left in animal shelters, posted on Craigslist, from owners who are no longer able to care for them and even from breeders who are closing down forever. All dogs go through a two week evaluation period, have been fully vetted and have been provided with a loving and safe environment. Potential adopters are required to fill out an application to include veterinary and personal references and are screened to ensure that the dog and his/her new family are a good match.
