Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Gracie. I am approximately 5 years old and weigh 28 lbs.
Before I became a MW BREW foster, I spent most of my life in a kennel type setting as a hunting dog. I was never taught basic house manners, so it has been a learning experience.
I currently live with my “kennel sister” (we came from the same place), Ruby, and my foster parents’ girl Beagle and boy Lab/ Beagle mix. They also have a cat and we do fine together.
I have been doing so well with my house training, that I am usually left out of my crate at night.
I really like being outside and checking out the fenced in dog yard we have. I love being able to run and play with the other dogs.
I had never been taught to walk on a leash and am learning that walks can be fun. Foster mom says I am doing pretty well, even though my nose keeps trying to lead me in different directions.
I am also learning that getting pets and snuggles and cuddling are good.
I don’t get up on the furniture or bed. I like to find a nice quiet corner or my open crate to curl up in. I am a pretty laid back girl.
I wouldn’t mind another dog to play and hang out with, but I would probably do okay as an only dog.
I don’t make much noise inside, so I would probably do okay in an apartment.
If I sound like a girl you’d like to know better, please contact Midwest BREW.
