Toby's Story...
Toby is an approx 1-2 year old papillon. He is red and white in color and is a bit thin-we hope to fatten him up some. He was rescued from a backyard breeder. Because of his rocky start and his small size, he may not be great with small children. However, he is very friendly and loving. Toby has been crated and has done fine. He may be housebroken but we do not guarantee this (ever). He gets along well with other small dogs and cats. He likes older children and has made no attempt to be aggressive. Toby just needs a loving, forever home where he can be the center of attention. He will thrive on that kind of life. Toby will make a great companion for an older, retired couple and would make a great traveling companion. He would also fit in perfectly with a single adult or couple or even a family with older children. Papillons are very versatile so he would do well in the country or the city. He seldom barks either! Toby's adoption fee will be $200 to cover the cost of his vetting and care while with us. If interested in adopting Toby, please submit your adoption application and email your interest. You may also call (352)493-1255-please leave a detailed message with the name of the pet you are calling about if we do not answer. We will return all calls.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Chiefland Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
