Here's what the humans have to say about me:
8/16/14 Treatment for heartworm disease has been completed...ACE IS READY FOR A PERMANENT LOVING HOME!!
7/4/14: 5yr old Black Ace had been found to be be Heartworm positive.....Heartworm disease left untreated is a slow miserable death. Treatment can be obtained and a dog can lead a normal healthy life afterward...HOWEVER....treatment is expensive...and Ace's sibling Twinkles must go through this treatment......Any assistance to help is appreciated!!! Dogworks Inc is a registered charitable organization, we do not receive any federal assistance. What this means = donations can be deducted from income tax. Donations accepted at: Dogworks Inc P.O. Box 351256 Toledo, Ohio 43635......Thank you!
Ace is a 4-5 year old, 28 lb. male Cocker Spaniel rescued from a hoarding / breeding situation after the owner died leaving behind many unsocialized dogs. Ace is only one of 4 Dogworks Inc agreed to accept into rescue. Scared, shy boy who needs confidence building and socialization. He does have potential but needs a patient kind home. Best in quieter home with another friendly laid back dog for him to observe and relax with. Gaining his trust is key.. No aggression shown even when scared !! Crate trained - keeps clean. Slowly accepting a collar and leash. Fenced yard best. Allows petting. Adoption fee includes, exam, spay, vaccine update, heartworm treament to rid of the disease, G.I. de-wormer. Current pictures before grooming. Accepting applications now... Adoption fee $150.
