RALPH MACCHIO!'s Story...
MEET RALPH MACCHIO!

Ralph is an AMAZING, perfect, adorable, move-in-ready senior dude who was surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter along with his kitty and canine siblings due to a flea infestation that got out of control. Luckily, he is 100% flea free now and simply battling a minor kitty cold! Macchio is around 10 years old and loves dogs, has lived with other cats and is AMAZING. He is super affectionate and per usual, as a senior gentleman, loves attention, uses his litter box, doesn't scratch things despite having his claws, is neutered and vaccinated and makes the perfect lovable lap cat. He has many years of love left to give to his future family! Anyone would be lucky to have the senior version of the karate kid in their home!

Ralph is currently in foster care through City of Elderly Love! He is already neutered and vaccinated and will be microchipped prior to going to his forever home! Macchio is also FIV & FeLV negative. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RALPH MACCHIO!, a Philadelphia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
