Inky Dew's Story...
Have you ever seen such utter cuteness? This adorable little lady is Inky Dew, a 5 month old kitten that would just love a great home of her own. Inky Dew was found with some of her siblings when they were strays on a cold day in December, 2014. Little Inky Dew had an upper respiratory infection that was left untreated for so long that it caused her eye to ulcerate. Her eye became very cloudy and she needed some extra care, so our wonderful ACO took Inky Dew into her home until her ailments cleared up. Inky Dew is doing fantastic now and her eye has barely any cloudiness left. She is an absolute doll that just loves life and everyone in it, and is ready to start over in a great home. Inky Dew is very personable and friendly, and gets along great with everyone, including other cats. She would make the perfect addition to any good family that promises to love and protect her forever. File#24221 12/12/14

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
