Emma's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Emma's Story...
Emma is about 8 months old and loves to play with her birdie toy. She is a little shy and may take a little time to warm up to her new family, but once she does she is such a sweet girl. She gets along with my large dog, but would prefer a home with a calm dog. Emma has had a bit of a rough start to life, and can't wait to have a loving forever home to build her confidence.

Please complete an online adoption application at petpromise.org/adoption-application if you are interested in adopting Emma, and a volunteer adoption counselor will contact you.

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption. We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match. For that reason the adoption process may take several days to complete and includes a mandatory home visit. We do our best to ensure that the adoption of the pet is "for life."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Columbus American Bobtail cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bobtail for sale in Columbus, or seeking a American Bobtail cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bobtail breeders who help with American Bobtail rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
